Anyone else struggle to read manga at normal speed these days? I basically speedread everything now and only reread stuff normally if it's really good.
>>285144975Magi season 3 never
>>285144975I only do this with webnovels/light novels because they tend to be extremely padded and for a lot of series you don't actually miss much
>>285144975It's called having the melted mind of a zoomer.Pitiable.
>>285144975My normal speed is fast cuz I'm that good
>>285144975I read fast.Though what you say its not a problem I usually have. I only ever speed read for real (not paying full attention to what the characters or narration say) when the manga Im checking is shit and I'm only looking for interesting shit happening.Example, stuff like Kanokari, to see if Chizuru finally cucked Kazuya for real.Or shit like Grapara, curious to see who got cucked now.
>>285144975I need the little voice in my head to narrate every line of text or I won't process it.
>>285144975only if im flipping through isekai slop
>>285144975it's because 99% is not worth reading slowly you're right to just rush through
I've been reading most of my stuff in Japanese the last year or two and I can't read that as quickly as English. But even if I read something in English I've been only reading a chapter or 2 a day usually because I found my past binging may have been harming my enjoyment.
Oftentimes I look up words in English even if I know them. Shit like "sheer" or "menace" which I obviously know what they mean, but forget the exact word in my language for.
>>285144975>only reread stuff normallyYeah you're kinda like me, falling in the hole of prioritising comfort over new experience and noveltyDoesn't mean it's bad, we're just growning up, getting older
