I see a lot of people complain about green yuri for various reasons but I've never seen anyone comment on the most saliently distasteful aspect of the series: the author's (characters'?) music taste is dogshit and totally surface level. Like, let's compare green yuri to Girl Meets Rock for example which, while not yuri (other than baiting it early on lol), is also a manga series where characterization is informed by music taste. You know Chihiro is incredibly based from the get-go because she's a zoomer who fucks with Number Girl. The references to real world artists are deliberate; I feel like the author actually cares about rock music. I can't say the same for green yuri.
