Because the Abydos arc writing was of poor quality, something which was already known by players, yet somehow the adaptation managed to make it worse by having the students steal several of Sensei's moments supporting the students. The girls are dumb and make mistakes and when they're at the end of their rope Sensei is the one who takes their hand to guide them.also, the gunplay action was ass. Props to Kaiser's President getting in to the robot to shoot at them personally, though, if you have a giant robot you gotta climb in there.
