>>285187660>>285189228The author of the manga said that he was given some of the scripts for the original 1999 season which was originally planned to run for 26 episodes before being cancelled with only 13 after having poor ratings in Japan, other than the he was allowed enough freedom to come with some original stories, part of me wishes we got that full 26 episodes season they planned in 1999 instead of the second one we got in 2003, you can feel the American hands on that one and it just isn't as good, I think the manga holds up better overall and it serves as a window to some of the ideas they dropped
