>>285179902The biggest issue is the pacing, like basically nothing happens in each chapter and we have to wait a month everytime, there are weekly mangas with more shit per chapter than we get in an average Boruto chapter, if the series was weekly I don’t think it’d feel as aimless and although the setup would still be mostly meandering and badly written at least we’d get to the point quicker,There’s plenty of mangas with not so good plot or story but they often make up for it by having good visuals so you are entertained each chapter by the art as much as the story, but Boruto obviously doesn’t have this strength with worse art and panelling than the average weekly series so as a result the story itself has to do even more heavy lifting meaning we focus on it more and realise how slow to get to the point it is

It's weird how anime team Naruto GT cared about the old cast enough to still feature them where as the manga GT pretty much got rid of them all as soon as they could when they did the opposite with DragonballGT ditched Roshi, Piccolo, Yamcha, Tien, Krillin, 18, Satan, Buu, Gohan and Goten as fast as they could, Trunks was only saved because they were trying to use him to capitalize on people who liked Future Trunks it's why he suddenly had a sword even through he never showed interest in that nor was there an in story explanation for her desire for a blade. Pan was there to remind people Goku's old now,to appease lolicons and so Goku could look heroic saving her, pretty funny how decades later Panzy would come into existence with the exact same purposes They tried to get rid of Vegeta as well butthe man's popularity refused to let him get benched for good thus when Super Saiyan 4 happened the response was to immediately give it to Vegeta AND to make them fuse into Gogeta an arc later because of Fusion Reborn and because they couldn't use Vegito since they wrote out the kais, King Kai doesn't appear once in GT.
