Why does everyone want to kill him or set him up to die , he gets double crossed by everyone he met.
>>
>Hey I have question that could be answered by reading the fucking thing.
>>
>>285180076
the author likes to see his MC suffer
ignore the faggot above me
>>
>>285180261
Shit what a dick
>>
The author has a persecution complex and a problem specifically with women, probably has an overbearing mother he thinks of as the control devil, and got his heart broken by a MPDG like Reze that he wanted to run away with but couldn't quite commit

World hates seeing the white boy go for it
>>
>>285180076
The whole plot of part 1 is slowly learning why.

anon knows. also it's an a/b testing compliance psyop with other shonen titles for mass audiences for example jjk modulo and boruto shippuden

fun fact: makima worked so well the next us presidential candidates will both be females with big boobs right before you go to war

mechanisms themselves are published, taught, funded, and audited.

Conditioning via Serialized Media

stories like **Chainsaw Man** are effective because they:

Run long enough to train emotional expectations
Repeatedly reinforce the same relational pattern
Do not resolve problems cleanly

Mechanism:

Expectation violation conditioning
Viewers learn: loyalty is temporary, authority is unsafe, survival requires compliance.

This is identical to methods described in:

military psychological resilience training
cult deprogramming literature
advertising fatigue-response testing

Character archetype testing (Makima is not an accident)

Makima is a composite archetype that has been explicitly studied:

perceived protector
sexualized but inaccessible
moral authority without transparency
intermittent reward + severe punishment

This combination is documented in:

persuasion studies
intelligence profiling manuals
cult leader typologies

Makima “worked” because trait stacks had already been validated elsewhere

A/B testing across franchises (this is openly acknowledged)

Publishers and studios explicitly test

despair-heavy vs hope-heavy arcs
male protagonist disempowerment
female authority dominance
behavior ambiguity tolerance

Jujutsu Kaisen
Boruto
are used to measure:

retention
merchandise conversion
demographic variations

Political language uses the same primitives, straight from campaign and NGO playbooks.

authority framed as care
emotional vulnerability
moral language without policy specificity
identity + protection framing

These are used because:

reduce resistance
increase emotional compliance
outperform rational-argument messaging

Why “this was engineered”

Media normalizes emotional relationships
Audiences internalize authority schemas
Political messaging mirrors those schemas
Familiar patterns outperform unfamiliar ones

What anons “caught”
psychological levers recur across entertainment and governance because they are efficient

I picked the manga up myself recently. I'm on chapter 142. Surprisingly decent. The art is nice, It's stylish with a good sense of aesthetics for the most part, the designs are good, the public safety arc had a pretty good pace going. The humor is a bit much at times but only a bit. Makima is very cute and while I'm not a fan of the 2nd arc Nayuta is actually even cuter. Not really into the whole shonen manga thing but I like this one. Might even watch the anime if it's well done but I remember seeing people complain about it.
>>
>>285180076
There's no answer in the story
The truth is the author overrelies on one trick and he does it more and more until it ruins his story
>>
>>285180076
I couldn't get into it because it's clear the guy making it doesn't care about it or it's story so why would I? Reading it felt like a waste of time.

Season 1 is iffy, good anime but bad adaptation
Reze movie is legitimately better than the source material, definitely check that out

the authors previous work, firepunch, was better. Frankly everything he did prior to Chainsaw man is better, i really recommend it all.

Fujimoto is like Hideki Arai but more retarded and less into rape. Fire Punch is better than The World is Mine though.

Are you so sure he's an intentional vehicle for this or is he just a product of it?

Wait What ?? That exists.

>>285194444
Two Blue Vortex. Most readers are in it for the sunk cost or to make fun of it.
>>
>>285194589
Would you advise me to give it a try or will it eventually flop or end like kishi motos other failed project samurai 8 ?
>>
>>285194808
If it were getting axed like Samurai 8 did it already would have been. It's garbage but it will go on as long as it needs to. If that's all you're worried about go ahead and read it.

Maybe but in reality It’s a soft reboot pretending to be a sequel, The anime failed, so the manga is doing damage control for that.
But the slow pacing and low expectations give this a bad place for continuity.

based schizo, please tell us more how JJK and Boruto get social engineer mogged by Chainsaw Man
>>
>>285195060
He would show up and seemingly make Denji's life harder but then he comes out of it a better man. Then Violence Jack walks off into the sunset to go troll the shit out of the Slum King again but not actually deal with him in any meaningful way.
>>
>>285186033
>Jujutsu Kaisen and Boruto are used to measure retention, merchandise conversion, demographic variations
So a lot of black people and women like JJK, what are they going to do with that information?
>>
>>285180076
Chainsaw Man is more torture porn than anything else. Any plot is just an excuse to make the MC miserable.

I couldn't get into the anime at all, but I gave the manga a try and ended up liking it a lot better. I think the MC's constant misery and always getting fucked over is kinda morbidly humorous. I feel like it's not really intended to be taken that seriously. It's a very weird series with strange characters who have goofy powers.
Also I went to see the Reze movie, which I enjoyed more than the couple episodes of the TV anime that I watched, but I still think overall it works better on the printed page.
>>
>>285197739
>I feel like it's not really intended to be taken that seriously.
it's definitely not. It has the same kind of tone as stuff like Planet Terror and Tokyo Gore Police. It might get poignant for a bit but the foundation is ultraviolence and dark humor
