Is there a legitimate case for use of AI in anime/manga industry or should it be avoided/frowned upon as it removes the soul from the medium?
I'm pretty close to going full luddite and just playing games/watching anime/reading manga from 2017 and earlier. I'm sure there's enough of it to last me.
It's a useful tool. Get over it.
AI will replace light novel and shounenshit authors as an endless well of extreme low quality stories for children and third worlders.
>>285193450This. For some reason most soulless people are the ones that talk the most about art requiring a soul. Which it does but use of AI as a tool doesn't desecrate it lol
>>285193450In about the same way that vodka is medicine
>>285193236Sure, As long as people are transparent about if AI is used or notI mean, if AI is such a great tool, why lie about using it? They lie because deep down they know their audience will just be disappointed and they are trying to fraud their way into success
>>285193236They have to do it in the first place and see if they can make it work (are we even sure that's happening? doesn't that shit hallucinate a lot?). I can't judge something that doesn't exist. Now that it does I can judge if it looks good and being japchads they'll not use it if it looks bad.
>>285193450It's not a useful tool for creatives at allIt literally skips the most important step, which is actual creationPeople who cannot do what AI does do not deserve to be making art to begin with because nothing they can ever "make" with it will have a soul. They themselves do not have a soul. It's really that simple. Learn how to do things yourself and you will deserve to createHaving an ai generate something for you as a baseline is cheating. It's equivalent to taking steroids to gain muscles instead of staying natty. It means you're a faggot regardless of the end productNotice how I didn't use any arugment about le stealing le artdata btw. That's because that argument is gay and worthless. People who use AI to circumvent creating art are also useless and gay
It'll be useful in the future when mangaka can train their own AI to do stuff faster and accurately in their art. Imagine a mangaka who can do a 20-page finished chapter in three days? He can rest comfortably or do another serialization. As of right now, it's not feasible as it is, but AI is evolving in strides so we can expect more use in two or three years.
>>285196279No it won't Because artists who use AI won't be able to make good art
