I was (over)thinking as to why the lead is purple, but since Cure Answer is the foreigner whereas Cure Mystique is the native one to the setting, it makes sense why the colors got switched compared to Maho.It's only because she's teal like Lala from ST, but I think Eclair is a nonhuman as well, though her point of origin is likely to be where the fairies come from as opposed to an unrelated planet. Maybe she is outright the teal fairy, or maybe she's a higher level of being the fairies are bound to serve (like how Haa-chan is a goddess). Though I wouldn't be too surprised if I were completely off track and she's the lead's mom or something like that.If there is a 2nd time traveler involved, Cure Arcana Shadow has a good chance of being her to parallel the lead (hence why her secondary color seems to be purple).

The girls put in a ton of effort in their everyday life and have more or less simple character gimmicks that allows for fun character-based humor.Evil rival idols who just want to steal people's attention and make them parasocial slaves would have made for great villains, instead we get Darkiine who still basically just amounts to an evil blob. She's not even an eldritch horror or something else that intrinsically value darkness consuming light: she's just a non-character who we are somehow meant to want to be redeemed. She'll be cured by some deus ex machina magic, just like everything else has been resolved so far in idol.

Budget saving bullshit compounded by overly long henshin for no reason, plotlines falling in and out of focus with no consistency to how they're treated, Uta Roja out of nowhere, Kaito gay plotline dragged on too long, Connect being a slap in the face to the entire Lock arc, and 0 proper Darkine buildup until the very end. The writing is just all fucked and directionless. No individual episode is terrible but all together they're less than the sum of their parts because the season lost any kind of thematic or narrative consistency.
