Shingekibros, we WILL get the Great Titan War prequel.
The recent rumors about the death of GODsayama's enthusiasm were... greatly exaggerated.
Here are his statements from the interview bundled with Volume 35.
Question:
>Following on from what you mentioned earlier, could you also tell us about the new one-shot "Akudou" (“Bad Boy”) included in Volume 35, which is bundled with this book?
GODsayama-sensei:
>Actually, at first I was planning a story set 100 years before the main story.
>But if you draw that kind of episode, then if anything ends up conflicting with the main story, the continuity stops making sense.
>So actually drawing it would require a lot of resolve, and I could not make any progress at all.
>But events like what happened at the Angoulême International Comics Festival became a trigger, and I realized that, to begin with, the top priority for this one-shot should be making the fans happy.
So he wrote the Levi one-shot as a short-term hobby and intends to write the Great Titan War in the long term.
This is going to MOG everything Game of Thrones ever did into oblivion. Trust the plan.
