I'm up to date with the manga and it feels it's just getting worse, I wonder if they went on hiatus because they were legitimately running out of ideas as opposed to the health reasons they mentioned. It's obvious what the end's gonna be, there's no real tension, the political stuff feels like bullshit, and there's not much Ubel pits to go around. There's no weight to any conflict in the manga. The closest thing they got to a world ending bit was the gold spell and they got out of that like it was nothing.
