>μ's were the original ones>memorable, funny, memeable, catchphrases>Aqours did the same, but even more memeable>both had plenty of time for the names and songs to be remembered due to the mobile game>Sunshine didn't get movie quality treatment>forgetable characters and songs despite good story>Nijigasaki doesn't even have a group name>the point of the series is friendshipmaxxing but it's all about solos>most characters and songs are forgetable but some still have an impact>were N cards in the game so most people didn't care enough>Hasunosora requires you to have a smartphone, download an app and know japanese>doesn't have a group name>it's all 3D animated>movie incoming without series first>there's fan translations online but the videos are so long that not all is translated>live action came and went and no one cares>Bluebird is set in an online platform that pesters you all the time to create and account and requires it to read comments so character interactions can't be read>that platform can delete the posts at any given time or go down either temporarily or permanently>good thing is there's fans that provide a live translated timeline>no anime, manga, movie or anything announced>no real story, just the VAs roleplaying with eachother>main character is the dumbest orange girl with the dumbest excuse to enroll in that school>hardly any designs have been shown and no animationsSome people still claim Love Live! is doing well, but I think it's gradually declining. This was my experience coming back after stopping after Sunshine and Niji S1.Love Live! thread, I guess, since I haven't seen one in a long time.
I think it's moving too fast. It's probably hitting that VA factory phase like iM@S did.
>>285206687I thought so too, but watched a video comparing how much was released for each unit and the current ones are taking their time compared to the previous ones. Aqours especially had loads released in a short time frame and is still releasing stuff.
>>285206835>AqoursI thought they were supposed to be retired?
>>285206687>>285206897Find the missing idols.
>>285206072Idk it sounds like you're just downplaying a lot of what LL is actually outputting for the sake of being negativeIt's definitely "declined" in a sense, but if you actually bother to really experience the series, you would know theres still plenty of good stuffFirst of all, you "group name" thing is retarded. who fucking cares if they dont have a group name, niji and hasu are not unified groups, why does that even matterSecond, if you had actually watched hasunosora and engaged with the jp fans, you would know that people fucking love them, and rightfully so, their story and characters are amazing. They output an insane amount of content to watch and tons of songs, and their "movie without a series" is an animated version of the end of the current part of the game story, kind of a bonus for the fans and not for newfags. Niji has tons of dedicated fans too and they also still output a lot of great songs and content. They just got their second movie in the movie trilogy and nobody who actually likes them would tell you the girls are "forgettable". I see ungodly amounts of Niji and Hasu art on Xitter everyday, even if LL isn't the mainstream fad anymore they're rightfully very loved and popular among their target audience.Superstar, which you didnt even mention unless that was the second Sunshine, was also not "forgettable" in any way, wtf. They are admittedly less popular than the others for some reason and made the baffling decision to emphasize the seiyuu content so it can feel like the anime girls are being left behind, but what their anime alone was done so well that it almost makes up for their lack of content. Superstar S3 in particular has some of the absolute best moments and songs in the entirety of LL, idk how you can watch that and not at the very least love the tomakanote trio.As for bluebird, wait until after their first live to see what, if anything, is planned for them
>>285206897All of them came back for the 15th anniversary.AiScream! was released in 2025 and has Ruby in it.They held a live in Numazu after the Final Live.Aqours documentary was released in 2025.>>285207013Missing the rivals.
>>285207282Correct on the bottom one, they also have that trio too. Top one I would say Hasunosora's original 3rd years. I don't know about the other two groups?
>>285207245>for the sake of being negativeNah, as I said, that's what my experience was after dropping SIF when I got to lvl 100 and finished Niji and Superstar S1.>group nameI believe it matters because at some point they perform together and it would be easier to remember and market them in my opinion.>watched hasunosora and engaged with the jp fansHaven't watched yet, just finished everything Superstar and Niji (still waiting for the second movie to go online). I had a look on youtube and the sheer amount of content feels overwhelming. Each video is over 2 hours and there's loads of them, so I end up not even starting them. I'm also not japanese and don't have social media, so yeah. Back in the day I posted on SIF threads and commented on youtube videos, twitter and instagram.>movies is sequel stories stuck inside an appThank fuck for people putting it on youtube. The app doesn't work on ungoogled phones, so I sorted that out but then it wouldn't go past the main menu. Not that it matters since I don't speak japanese, but it's still scummy behaviour.>forgettableAgain, my experience. I can't name most of the characters now that I'm done watching. Back then that didn't happen because of SIF.>SuperstarYeah, messed up the name. I agree, the anime was good, mainly S3, but again, can't name most of the girls nor remember key songs.>emphasize the seiyuu contentYeah, I don't really care about the 3D part of it. I've been trying though and will watch the lives.>bluebirdI've listened to all the songs 2 days ago and already have a few favourites. Also started reading the posts summary. I know a new single is coming, so we'll see.
When do they get an album in 2026?
