I feel so stupid for being excited about Genkidamatsuri. My mind goes back and forth between thinking there's no way in hell they'd spend all this time on a huge event and even getting Shueisha involved just to announce something stupid and boring like a remake that won't even adapt the manga or continue the series, and realizing that of course they'd do that because the suits involved with this franchise are evenly split between absolutely loathing Dragon Ball and just thinking of ways to gut it so they can prop up One Piece, and liking/being indifferent to Dragon Ball but so disengaged and out of touch that it almost feels like they're trying to sabotage the franchise too.
