I am fond of this OP.

Because the credits are beautiful and enhance the images desu.

Every shot is hella evocative, love it.

I disagree with you but I respect your opinion. Or, rather, the fact that you have one

Had to try and avoid shots with credits since nobody has ripped an NCOP yet

I appreciate that. Let me take one last shot. Part of what makes these visuals so good is the way they're evocative of turn-of-the-century futurism, and typography is a significant part of those design patterns.

I don't feel the visual harmony with this one so much but the imagery is still strong. Where you pulling scenes for narrative significance?

The OP has a lot of shots in it that are pretty evocative, so it was difficult to get something cohesive going.
There is a bit there if you've seen the series, but I was pretty disappointed with the composition of it.
Didn't really choose based on plot relevance either, aside from the middle row. The six images outside that are more thematically relevant than anything.

Quick-and-dirty, I wonder if this might be stronger. I see what you were going for, the weight just feels off to me compositionally. (I was also debating switching the middle left and right on picrel, but it's all subjective).

Still legit. By the time I'd finished dealing with a distraction, my brain had finished Mizu no Hoshi and moved on to Anime Ja Nai.

Okay, fair enough, and I can understand your reasoning, but many times shows have the credits just smack right in the middle with no actual thought towards shot composition. That's fine if it's an active choice, but many times it feels like it's not, like they're just there because they have to be
I guess my further issue is that in you OP, the top center one has faded credits, which makes it seem like you took the shot randomly at that second instead of deliberately timing it. Furthermore, as for the composition of the collage as a whole, only one out of the 8 surrounding screenshots has the credits, so it (and the faded one) look very much out of place. I can't say that I could do a better job as I haven't seen this anime specifically, but what I would recommend is alternating them so you have an x or + pattern with 4 creditless and 4 credit screenshots. Obviously the central one is where it should be. Here's a collage I made recently. I put alot of thought into where each one should go, with a pattern that follows through the collage. Basically, starting from the spring quadrant, above the main shot has multiple biyoris, to the right there is a single biyori, diagonally there is a landscape. Follow along clockwise while turning your perspective 90 degrees and the same pattern is true through the rest of the collage. This makes every screenshot that is the same "type" equidistant from eachother while presenting an illusion of chaos. In your minds eye, imagine if, for instance, 3 and 8 as well as 16 and 23 were swapped. It would feel more like a mirror, if that makes sense, with the line down the middle. However seeing as the theme of the collage is the seasons and the passage of time, having a clockwork-evoking pattern is more suitable. The single place I was a tad unsure of this collage was the screenshot for nattsun specifically. I had an alternate that would have blended in more with the surrounding, specifically the shot to the right

Notice on the bottom left two shots, how the lower treeline seemingly blends into the ground with the screenshot next to it. I had the opportunity to use pic rel in place of the current nattsun picture, which would have created a similar illusion with its rightward picture. But I decided in the end that the one I chose officially was more intresting to the peice as a whole, since it included a framing of indoors, which is otherwise absent from the collage, and it suits her personality better as someone who is looking towards adventure in the great outdoors
Anyways
I'm not trying to sound like an authority figure here
Just giving my two cents on how I think your original collage could be improved and be more aesthetics
My own collage folder has about 80 pieces that I've made myself. I am still learning, but I am proud of my work. You should be proud of your own aswell anonkun

My mistake
>only one of the surrounding 8 has NO credits*
