It's definitely not a perfect anime, it has some flaws, like the mecha designs being fairly gay and a shitty rap song in one of the episodes, but I actually liked it a great deal. Of course, it helps that I just watched it on my own, not with a bunch of /a/-tards trying to outdo one another in who could shit on it the most.
