Why do retards and pseuds take simplicity as something bad? 90% of anime are simple by nature. FMA, JoJo, Gurren Lagann, MHA, etc. - when it comes to the plot, all of them have basic and linear stories.The most important part will always be execution. An anime with a well-written plot will still flop if the execution is subpar.
