The original Kinnikuman anime paired Kinnikuman with a character who disappeared after a few chapters and then kept her appearing through filler. Hinata and Naruto literally do not interact again in the manga after the Chuuni Exams, before Part 2 starts. Meanwhile the anime had tons of filler with them together again, making them appear a lot closer. The thing about Naruhina is that even acknowledging how poorly constructed the couple is, I think a lot of people understood it was the only option in reality. Not because the pair itself was particularly strong but because I think anyone who wasn't explicitly a NaruSakufag just understood that Sakura and Sasuke were going to end up together.

Studio Feel also does a lot of blatant favoritism in their adaptations. In Oregairu S3 they cut a lot of the scenes for other characters to focus on Yui and in Summer Pockets they butchered every route other than Shiroha's and then started putting her into scenes for the other heroines.
