She did all the legwork and academic persuit to unlock the Trascelion(Chariot straight up said she never would have looked into it on her own, she was there to support Croix), lead that work herself for months, only for it to pick Chariot as the chosen one instead of her.Then after biting her tongue and supporting Chariot regardless in the process of trying to help her overeager friend she gets exposed to magic pollen and permanently has her magic crippled. There goes her original life goals, there goes her backup plan, her life is ruined unless they unlock the seven words....and then Chariot starts fucking goofing off with her magic shows for like a year instead of getting the last word. Eventually she gets bitter enough she gives Chariot the dream-fuel-spirit spell to suck the magic out of her audience(both out of bitterness for Chariot getting her crippled earlier and in the hope it might help them finally get the fucking last word), which in turn causes Chariot to throw a fit, nuke the moon, and lose her chosen one status. Croix still likes her enough to erase everyones memories of her doing that, but that's it, her life is ruined because Chariot stole her chosen one spot, Chariot got her crippled magically, and Chariot couldn't even complete the job so she wasn't even her sidekick. So she goes off to invent all that magi-tech with the goal of completely destroying the traditional magic hierarchy that ruined her and spreading discord to spite the trascelion.Oh, and the thing where she tricks Akko into going to the pollen tree? That wasn't aimed at Akko(who was already crippled magically), she was baiting Ursula/Chariot into rescueing Akko so she'd lose the bulk of her magic just like Croix did.
