However his little sister was believed to be killed during war with beastman which leads him to develop senseless hate towards beastfolks and former shield hero for supporting them. But it turns out his sister was alive and living a happily married life with a beastman until the church invaded and killed her alongside her husband leaving behind her two orphaned children, one of whom looks exactly like his sister which made him realise the truth. Then his wife and niece dies during whip heroes invasion which finally make him snap out of his idiotsy and return being the staff hero. He also accepted his title as "Trash" due to his inability to protect his sister, wife and niece. It was his strategy that allowed Naugumi to defeat the Whip Hero.
