>new anime cour starts>10+ isekaicrap you can't tell apart>season 2 of anime needing close to 60 episodes to tell the whole story, but you read the manga years ago because they adapt at a snails pace with 12 episodes only and years in between, too afraid to commit into adapting anything>anime adaptation of the worst possible manga you have ever read>token yuri/homo pandering slop>shoujoslop if you're lucky that's not le villainess isekai if you're extra lucky>The worst anime original story in recent memory that turns anyone off from making anything anime original for a few years>A genuinely interesting premise but it's another attempt at forcing the 3d anime meme and looks way too crap to even watchGenuinely why is it like this in the modern years?
MBAs have infiltrated anime too and proceeded to delete anything unique.
>>285275358>almost none of the isekais are about shy manlets with a heart of gold and haremsthe fujofication of anime continues
Like in the past 5 years, what genuinely good anime you remember even came out? All I can think up are Odd taxi, Heike Monogatari and Orb
shitsekais are popular right now so you just have to wait until the trend shifts again
>>285275486The isekai collapse can't come fast enough
>>285275539your wish is grantedwe are now swarmed by Solo Leveling clones
>>285275644Still falls into iskaislop, just like villainess reincarnation stories
Isekai has ruined the industry. I said it to my friends six years ago, one by one they've basically all agreed with me at this point. And it fucking sickens me i was right to begin with. Every show is just the same garbage over and over and over and over. The only alternative is just watching or doing something else.
>>285275486This "trend" has been going on for almost fifteen fucking years now, when will it end?!
>>285275358>but you read the manga years agoyou only have yourself to blame
I just watch stuff from before 2015 nowadays. This medium peaked in the 2000s, declined rapidly in the mid-to-late 2010s, and is now fully dead in the 2020s. Shame that it went so fast, but there's so many old series to watch that at least I'll never run out of new-to-me shows. The last modern anime I watched was New Panty & Stocking, which coincidentally is the only anime series that's interested me this decade. It really did disappoint in a way I didn't think was possible, and the fact that it was very clearly worse than its predecessor from 15 years ago was pretty shocking. If you ever wanted to see the word "hagmaxxing" or references to Ugandan Knuckles in an anime series, you must like modern anime a great deal.
>>285275486>popularBuddy I'm 30 years old. I remember the exact same post like this made almost a decade ago.
>>285276763>If you ever wanted to see the word "hagmaxxing" or references to Ugandan Knuckles in an anime series, you must like modern anime a great deal.Is that really the fault of the anime itself or the modern practice of heavy localization in official subtitle outlets?
>>285277830No, no, anon – it's not in the subtitles or the localization. It's part of the animation itself. They animated Twitter memes right into the show.
>>285277665isekai wasn't nearly as popular 10 years ago
>>285278162Isekai shit with RPG game mechanics started getting popular after sword art online and that shit was in 2012. it's been well over a decade unc wake up.
>>285278162Lol, lmao even. Bud, believe me when I say bitching about too much isekai every season happened back then too. It's either that or the 'Battle Harem' genre which as >>285275670 said, is just 'native isekai' which got the same tropes and sheit. The only change now is that the battle harem genre is now pretty much deard, with the only exception of maybe Mahouka and SAO(Which is pseudo-isekai) still going on because of grandfather's clause.
