Manga originals are better as manga. Anime originals are better as anime.

>>285313424Depends on the era. Very few older animes were poor imitations of their manga. There's plenty of examples of the animes improving on the source in shonen back in the 80s and 90s but that does off with the contraction of anime and the creatives all just leaving. The only modern example I can think of a decent improvement over the source in terms of pace and writing was Getter Robo Arcs anime adding in a bunch of references and extra stuff that never showed up.
