The link to the 6 eyes is "fate" which is never defined or referenced by the story except in the context of the 6 eyes and toji. Most likely you can imagine it as some kind of binding vow, or a consequence of tengen's barrier causing Japan to have more sorcerers and more cursed spirits.

Tengen is dead, but tengen's barrier is maintained by her remains and the link to sukuna at the end of jjk. So far they haven't been referenced again in modulo, but the fact that japan still has plentiful sorcerers suggests that the barriers are still maintained (albeit possibly weakened).
My guess is that there will be no more star plasma vessels though (since there's nothing to merge with) and therefore no more 6 eyes users, which is possibly why the gojo clan banned the use of the 10s technique.

People like Gojo, Yuta and others should have increased lifespans and slow aging when they reach the peak of their powers. Even if it's just like a measly few decades extra of life and staying at their prime.

For sorcerers with no CT who still amount to anything, either they have incredible baseline capabilities (i.e. output, innate strength) like Yuji and Kashimo* or they learn the new shadow style.
I think someone with no technique could push themselves reasonably far, but in a lot of ways Sukuna already shows the absolute upper limit of that when his technique is mostly just ok given how many mediocre sorcerers casually tank his hits.

Gojo's control of cursed energy usage was also already impeccable during his fights anyway, and there isn't a single jujutsu technique he isn't shown to be capable of outside of a barrierless domain and using RCT on others. If you write another story like that, it's hard not to invite the comparison. I think cursed speech would actually be the most interesting technique to see amped with the 6 eyes, especially given how defence/feedback works with it
