>>285374526>>285374541Yeah, this is definitely ending soon. Sucks, man. I'm gonna miss Kanna. If true, then I hope the author either moves to a different magazine and makes something more risqué in tone and presentation (it's obvious he's constantly keeping his sensibilities in check to match the WSJ demographic), or creates a story that isn't content to be a cheap copy of what came before.
Are the sales bad?
>>285374894It's declining.
>>285374231Oh fuck, I didn't know you'd already made a thread. My bad. Thanks for dumping it anon. >>285374894Physical is only 1.6 copies behind Shinobi Undercover which gets MASSIVE PUSHES from the editorial. Digital-wise, it even beat Someone Hertz on Rakuten. The combined sales might've matched Shinobi. It's a mystery why Saito dislikes Himaten so much. https://x.com/al_mavivi/status/2011657249937129477Rakuten digital:1. Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo 18. >>285374541my heart tells me that this is the signal for the childhood freind winning but my head says this will be a absence makes the heart grow fonder moment and yoshino wil win anyway
It'd be interesting if Tenichi is going out with Honoka but the series is still continuing, with Himari being the primary protagonist for the second half, trying to make Tenichi falls in love with him.
>>285374428She's signaling something to Tenichi
>>285374231hot
>>285374488is that what girlboss posture looks like
Three new series are starting next week. With Otr gone, there are two other series ending. I bet one of them is Harukaze Mound, the other one should be The Elusive Samurai... right? No way he's ending this in two chapters. This is more like a desperate attempt to gain votes. I know there are some passionate Himaten fans who vote every week, but it seems series like most of its fans don't even vote. They just buy the volumes when it's out. It's completely the opposite of Ultimate Exorcist Kiyoshi, it has many fans voting every week, but they don't buy the volumes. Anyway, the author comment this week is out:"I’m seriously starting a diet…!My goal is to lose 7 kg and reach 65 kg!"
>>285374894Its selling half of Hertz's first volume and has barely seen any sales increase since it debuted (basically done about 11-13k per volume) and its already at Volume 7. Only way it lives is if Harukaze and Gonron get axed and Shueisha lets it live for another round to pad out the magazine.
>>285375641If we they decide it purely based on sales, I think Himaten is still barely safe, considering Kiyoshi and Roboco are below it. Plus the Himaten's digital sales beat Hertz and Shinobi (this week) >>285375109
>>285374488She already has desk slouch when standing...
Himari and Asahi have been the biggest losers I've had the displeasure to read since Yuigahama
>>285374802>>285374894The series sells just fine enough to keep it around so theres reason to think its getting canned by the publisher. If it is actually ending soon then I can only assume its cause the author was never trying to make it all that long and wants to end it on his own terms. Not every series that ends quick is an axe you know.
>Himaten got killed by the boobs cover
I've read enough manga to know when a rushed ending is coming. I'll happily eat crow of I'm wrong, but the last two chapters have really made it seem as though Ono has been given a deadline to wrap this up. Which is at least better than most WSJ mangaka are given, probably owing to the fact that there's so much other obvious guillotine fodder already in the magazine. But between these story developments, the fact that the series has been doing poorly on the TOC, hasn't been getting color pages, and has very underwhelming sales compared to WSJ's expected standards, I can't feel optimistic about it maintaining its niche. I love Kanna and Himari and want to keep reading and seeing more of them. But I think the manga will be ending soon.
>>285375760Roboco is in a unique position, because it is a pure gag manga, which are expected to have modest sales, and it is also sort of a modern WSJ mascot.
>>285377818Yeah, Shueisha likes having at least one gag manga running in both WSJ and YJ. And ideally it's in that they can count on to keep going for a long time, like Hyakkano in YJ. As long as their sales are serviceable, series like those are extremely safe.
>>285377718>but the last two chapters have really made it seem as though Ono has been given a deadline to wrap this up.I agree with the sentiment, but Harukaze Mound is 100% ending with its next chapter, and apparently The Elusive Samurai is ending as well, so Hima-Ten! is probably going to survive this batch.
>>285377936Yeah, I don't think it's getting the "you have three chapters to wrap this up" treatment that most manga in the magazine receive. But I do think Ono has been told to move the story to its conclusion, and has found himself in the very rare position of actual having a bit of time to do it.
>series ends>new series kanna-ten coming soon!
>>285378132Himari is my favorite and ever I think the series would have been better if it were about her becoming Tenichi's best friend and gatekeeping his every growing harem until one of them proves she's good enough for him.
>>285375621Yeah this doesn't feel like it's axed more like your sales aren't looking good, if you want to keep going you're going to need to get your numbers up.
>Anons actually thinking this is ending soonIs this your first romcom or something?
I want Kanna to give me a happy ending
>>285374802you're a retard, there's at least 3 volumes' worth of material. kanna dating arc, honoka dating arc, himari might move abroad + confession arc. it's like you've never read a romcom before
all the recent romcoms always pull muh SUBVERT EXPECTATIONso I unironically dont know who will winmaybe its will end it with status quo after they milked everything like Toloveru
Do you guys think an anime adaptation will be announced soon? Nisekoi and Bokuben got anime announcements around the 1.5-year mark, while Yuragi's took about 1 year and 9 months. Based on that, Hima-Ten! might get an announcement later this month or in the next 2-3 months.
>>285379355TLR being milked and having two non-endings was entirely a result of Hasemi being a complete fucking hack. He didn't deserve to work with a god like Yabuki.
>>285374526>>285374541When this series finishes, i wanna him to try another sport series like his axed ping pong series before.
>>285379586Have you seen how skilled this man is at drawing a set of tits? Why in God's name would you want to take that away from us in favor of fucking ping pong? Fuck that shit. I want him to draw an entire manga dedicated exclusively to Kanna's legendary Kannas.
>>285374231yet another romcom where the heroine gets brutally mogged>>285374488what's with the femcel stance?
>>285374541>Hi, Author here!>I've decided that this story doesn't interest me, anymore, so this is the last page!>Thanks for reading!I've seen this before...
>>285379586The feMC in Full Drive sure was something. I thought it was a fun spokon. But maybe that's a bad sign since it got axed quickly anyway.
>>285379981>Why in God's name would you want to take that away from us in favor of fucking ping pong?I never said he should do another ping pong, although Full Drive was fun to read. I would have preferred he pick a different sport, like either basketball or maybe american football, or whatever.
Should he have serialized Yashatsubaki with not-Himenono as the female lead instead?
