>That manga about the beautiful girl who gambles on stocks is getting a TV anime adaptation.
I recall the author himself is a gambler who's long studied various financial investments and speculative industries.
He squandered all the money he earned from drawing manga in the Japanese stock market, and his readers are also a bunch of gamblers. Every day, they fantasize about making a fortune in the stock market.

I recall that several girls in the story ended up becoming prostitutes because their stocks lost value.
Since it's an all-ages manga, the author couldn't depict actual pornographic content.
So the girls only provided massage services.

I read this for a while, and to this day, I still cannot figure out how anyone could be this enslaved by greed.

Every person is so obsessed with money that not one has any plans on how to spend it. MC's goal of paying off her mother's debt is just an excuse to start the plot
Their entire goal is just to acquire numbers after numbers. They are basically chasing after a high

When you are in such a state, consider it God's blessings once you inevitably lose it all - at least now, you can stop and switch course back to what truly matters - the fact that you are going to die, and not one coin can be taken with you

i take offense on this pic

Call it wagecuckery, but at least it produces "something". There are products and services that benefit someone.
Stocks and cryptos are literally imaginary numbers. It is depressing if you think about it. Just a bunch of sad folks scamming each other to see who gets to be the bag holder

Not to mention, everyone is bound to lose everything there as no one is going to stop.

As someone who has been consistently making profit in trading for 3 years, this manga is extremely cringey to read.
I've never gotten liquidated in futures before but I used to have some spot positions that made my account bleed to almost 95% during my earlier days of investing.
How nostalgic.

1) The original purpose of stocks is investment, not speculation. Investment is 100% productive to the society.
2) The problem with your logic is that wagies are replaceable. Any "contribution" you make is irrelevant, because someone else would take it if you didn't exist. Having external independent source of money allows you to focus on being creative, making web-comics, web-serial novels, music, art, freeware videogames, create/contribute to open-source projects, etc.
>but you can make money from being creative
Then you would be again constrained. You wouldn't be able to inclue loli, bestiality, incest, BL/GL (in certain countries), etc. content. You would have to cater to "wide audience", forcing your work to be bland. You would be vulnerable to being cancelled by rabid crowd for inane reason. Etc, etc.
Anyway, also you would be able to contribute by investing to indie projects via Indue Fund, and other stuff like that.

Stupid author.
Anybody who is serious in trading and/or even work as institutonal trader understand that a trader is more akin to a professional athlete than a gambler.
You don't seriously expect to compete against Usain Bolt during your first year of running, so don't expect yourself to make life changing money in just first year of trading.
Stupid.

In the perspective of the company, sure
In the perspective of the investors, it isn't. They have no interest in the company or the product taht they produce. One can argue that they don't even want money, as money can also mean physical goods and future time savings.

Not if you're a genius.
But I think he meant that if you're a wagie someone will replace you at virtually no extra cost. Where as for something with rare technical skills the next guy down the line may ask for more. Not to mention the cost of discovery in finding someone new, and getting them up to speed on what could be a complex operation. Something typically far less significant with wagies.

Never touch perpetual futures. Never take loans to trade. Never use leverage. Never trade using borrowed capital. Trading ruined my life. This adaptation, the author. There are many like us. It is a lonely story, it does not end in happiness. Trading is a craft that takes years to master. I was naive, I was a gambler. There are no shortcuts. I read the manga in 2021 and said "I'm different". I wasn't, I lost everything. Be better than me and don't lose yourself to greed. Funny thing is, even as I write this I know the specific type of person who will read this and and say "not me" YES YOU. Please don't learn the hard way. Please take this advice, you arn't better than the market, you won't outsmart them. I am not saying that as demoralization, but as a reminder of reality. I am lucid. I am sorry I should of listened.

It's rather than Institutional traders (banks) are often playing a completely different game where they just execute low-risk trades for clients and rake in a small profit from the bid-ask spread or commission fees. But since these are banks with many client relationships, they can just scale this to billions, which retail investors obviously can't do let alone be allowed to.

Tldr; Really if you want to make life changing money, just join a actual firm and learn the ropes rather than thinking you can arbitage the market because you have so many disadvantages it's just a fool's errand. And it's not THAT hard to join a IB trading desk.

That's the hedonistic path

What you truly want is to be "comfortable and safe"
You achieve this either by protecting yourself with money,
Or just by toughening up and getting rid of everything unnecessary, which may include internet.

The former is unsustainable, and unachievable as money will always be a fleeting thing
The latter leads to contentment. Especially when you surround yourself with people who sees money as just a tool, rather than a goal by itself

The most traditional investment going tits up was investing in a trading boat. Boat goes tits up, total loss at sea, everything's gone.
You can invest in capital and capital can go bye bye. Whether or not you fractionally own it doesn't determine whether or not it's gambling.

Insurance is technically a gamble, but it is every bit a gamble as wearing a bulky and heavy helmet. If you're lucky, you would wish you never bothered paying insurance

Any risk inherent to the venture is risk you took on when investing. Boats sink. Whether or not you owned the boat outright, you owned some trade goods riding in the boat, or you owned fractional shares of the trading mission is not what determines whether or no you're gambling.

I honestly don't get how the people who trade live with themselves, I usually make sport bets and I've won more than I've lost, but the times where I make a risk bet and can see the result live is nerve wracking, I once punched a TV for that bullshit (thanks handegg). Can't imagine having that feeling 24/7 for only a 0.25 increase of your assets per month.

I have a friend who used to religiously bet on esports like Counter-Strike and Starcraft. He didn't play much of either but he started putting down tens of thousands of dollars for minimal profit after hearing a friend and I explain the game to him during a tournament. We would hang out and watch the games play out in real-time and him lose the bets. He did this regularly for a long while, gambling truly is a lifestyle.

day trading / scalping is VERY difficult, but swing trading is doable if you're committed into doing it very seriously. most people can't do this as they treat trading like playing in an arcade, as in, top up money (from salary), play, out of money, rinse and repeat.

It's very easy to make money as long as you're not retarded. Asset and risk management is something that needs to be drilled down first. You can lose 10 trades an only win 1 and you still won't be losing money. Setting up stop loss and taking profit is 100% fundamentally important or you'll just keep losing money. Trading needs to be treated as a sprint and not a marathon. Document every trade in a spreadsheet and reflect on it daily. But most importantly : have realistic expectation. You cannot win big and get rich overnight. Those who do are outlier and not the norm.

Compartmentalizing, focusing on making decisions in cold blood, and after the decision is over, hitting a thick mousepad on the desk instead of the screen. It helps to limit risk and have a strategy prepared for every scenario instead of just a binary bet on whether some fag can catch the ball. If you have a statistical edge based on proven facts, you just need to survive the outliers long enough for the trend to take over.

>>285423230
