A large problem with Shippuden is that most of its side characters are extremely useless and never get to do anything. The Uchiha wank is also kept pretty low. The Konoha guys in this arc don't even care about Sasuke that much on a personal level, they just want to save one of their comrades. How is this similar to Shippuden in any capacity?
