The painter shouldn't have lasted 3 whole chapters. It was one chapter worthy of a dramafest at most.

It's the world's most predictable and played out plot written as a massive protagonist wankfest that only manages to give him cool moments because it tries so ridiculously hard that about 10% of the attempts work out by sheer chance, all drawn with art whose fanciness masks the artist's poor panelling work or lack of consistency across even a single page. It's such trash that you would have to make way more minimal changes to turn it into a parody than to make it good, because some scenes are already so ridiculous it's hard to believe they were written sincerely and you'd have to have a staggeringly infinitesimal culture and media awareness not to see how bad it is. It's the purest form of slop.I fucking love it and I hope it doesn't get axed.

I think I more or less understand what these chapters are about. Eventually, the painter and other people Mira Mira and Nona have met will be killed for being associated with witches, which will mindbreak the two of them. Even so, I feel like it's taking too long.
