I don't understand why this isn't doing better. The main character has been cool from his opening ENTER and the supporting cast is shaping up nicely, too. I know jack about the source material but the fringes of a larger conspiracy are starting to be revealed, we were let in on some more information about the goddesses and their abilities, and the magic system has been interesting so far.The animation looks good and the story is not isekai slop, although we learned in the last episode there is an otherworlder in the party if the rumors are to be believed. Would be cool to see what era of Japan he's from.

It's the most popular non-sequel show this season. /a/ just likes to be contrarian, and the story starts a little slow-burn for the ADHD zoomers here. Not just in fantasy either, OVERALL. Yuusha no Kuzu is older too, written in 2016. If anything, the manga only got made because it was riding the coattails of YuushaKei's success. Whether you like it or not, the hype is earned. The fact that you can't sit still for half an hour to absorb the story as it comes and pick up the hints is a (You) problem.

>>285716386Yes, but they don't take as much time to charge as you think. During daytime, smaller sacred seal devices are effectively of infinite use. Some weapons, such as lightning staffs or artillery pieces, require much more power and use special equipment to store luminescence and reload, but more efficient devices, such as the cook top in the last episode, end up charging faster than they discharge. Also, remember Xylo was on the road for some number of days without fighting, so he's definitely already charged up. His usual deficiencies come with how many knives he can carry rather than stored luminescence.
