I do think a lot of hate towards Megumi (and other characters like Kashimo) and is that a lot of JJK "fans" see the series as a sports event. The narrative and nuance don't really matter. Which feels weird in the case of Megumi because he never really lost a fight in the sense of how shonen fights go.
