The actual pacing of the story works well enough in syndication but it doesn't have the cleanly divided arcs that Shonen Jump series do that makes it easy to structure cours around, leading to both seasons ending on transitional moments instead of big climaxes. The 3D is admirable but they can't compare to the manga panels, and it'd be unrealistic to animate the skating scenes. But still, great adaptation for how hard the project must've been to undertake.
