So to summarise, we're to come back for Tanabata, right?
>>286107204Yes but you also must touch-grass with waifu
>>286107204As someone who's completely unbiased, I hope so!Tanabata is a Japanese festival about star crossed lovers, who are only allowed to meet once a year on the seventh day of the seventh month of the lunisolar calendar. We have the same general guidelines (4:3, all about your waifu) BUT your shrine should be outside. You have from now til July to take your photo. FIVE MONTHS OF PREP TIME! It’s a big world out there. Go see it with your waifu! Our Tanabata 2026 thread goes live at midnight Japan Standard Time on July 7, 2026 (that's 8:00 AM Pacific Time on Mon July 6, 2026). Want a personal reminder via email, text, or even a postcard? Reach out, and I'll make it so.tanabataAnon@proton.me
>>286107876The date coincides perfectly with what's going to be our first anniversary so I'll definitely be there
Have you started making AI artwork of your waifu? Or are you against it somehow? Do you not need it?
Submitting. Happy Valentine's
>>286108597As an artist, AI is the antithesis of what I want to do for her. It is of my opinion that art is an expression of love for her, and as Ai is effortless, it is also completely heartless and devoid of love.
>>286108597Quite often. It's fun and otherwise there's barely any art out there. Never share it anywhere though.
>>286108597I used to make Koikatsu artwork of My King, but now I run screenshots of it through AI programs, so yes. I blend the two.
>>286108597I generated several hundreds images of her. I also sometimes use AI to generate references for drawing. In general, it's just slop. I sometimes make it for my own enjoyment, but I do not want to see other people's gens. They are polluting boorus and such, and I always have to filter them out.
>>286108597too jank and unreliable for what I want
>>286107876It was fun. I'm going back there but I don't want to have the same picture
>>286108597I simply pick the pencil up and go.Otherwise I have messed with the slop machine a bit, but really for one evening and to see how horribly wrong it could be (it was very bad)
>>286108679>Ai is effortlessThe coilwhine of my GPUs disagree.
>>286108597I sometimes save it but no, I either beg in the drawthreads or commission it myself
Happy Valentines, /a/nons. Collage is coming out very nice.>>286108597I've played around with AI and got plenty of good stuff with Emilico before, I'm not against it at all. But thing is, value is based on scarcity and effort. When I can make an infinite amount of fanart by clicking a button, it's inherently less than something handmade even if they look borderline identical. That's why sometimes I'll request anons gen something for me even if I can gen it myself. That's my experience anyways.
>>286096452Thank you! Moose's drink was actually cranberry juice!
>>286099837My husbando doesn't have much official merch. I try my best to get what I can of what's available (he has a few keychains, acrylic stands, a coaster) but most of my merch is custom made. I have multiple custom plushies, a daki with art I commissioned, custom acrylic keychains, and more. It's unfortunate that he doesn't have much official merch but sometimes I tell myself that he must feel really loved to have someone go out of their way to get something unique of him. At least, I always hope he feels that way!
How soon until the deadline?
>>286109701should be in 4 hours
>>286107876Will be there if I don't forget.>>286108597I don't care for things generated by others, but when I make it myself it feels like I'm more so interacting with her. With a 5090 it kinda feels like I'm generating a slow motion movie of sorts.>>286109614I'm still planning on watching your wife's show, do you recommend it?>thinkpadbased
I knew my picture was too bad to include
>>286109764Ah damnit, just now realizing I could've added my T430 in...
>>286109520Your effort, genius.>>286108806>Barely any artSo draw it yourself. A cold amalgamation resembling her is not putting in effort for your love. Or at least commission an artist to make her a gift.>>286109764You aren't interacting with her, you're interacting with a slop machine who doesn't even know who she is.
>>286109893No thanks, I'm having fun. Your judgment is worthless.
Commissioning real artists:>private commissions get posted publicly>they take forever to produce the art>almost never looks good unless it's from JP artists>costs sometimes hundreds per commission>3/10 times the artist never even responds or finishes the comm, lose money>artist might turn around and make shitty artwork of waifu laterGenerating AI:>never leaves your PC>waifu lewds only for your eyes>can do whatever you want together and she's still safe and happy>infinite and free (once you learn the tools/hardware)>no longer have to view other shitty artists making artwork of her that's degenerate>commissions take months, generations take seconds>no wait-lists, just generation queues>obscure waifus with no artwork can be given new artworkIt's a no-brainer.
>>286109893>you're interacting with a slop machine who doesn't even know who she is.That is why I said I don't care about ai slop other people make? But when I do it, I do it with intention to generate images of my wife who I know. I can decide for myself if I want to see the image as her. It's a way of interacting with your loved one, just as much as making stories, music or art yourself is.
>>286109764>but when I make it myself it feels like I'm more so interacting with heTrue, it feels like I'm waiting outside a changing booth waiting for her to try on different outfits, or doing a photo-shoot.It's a cute fantasy.
>>286109774Repost it in this thread, anon. OP likely skipped it on accident. It’s hard to keep tabs on dozens of posts over a few days. I’ll give you feedback if you repost it.
>>286110256Drawing her yourself:>Learning a skill for a loved one>Only for your eyes>Can do whatever you want together and she's still safe and happy>Isn't polluting anyone in the world by using harmful datacenters>Can truly create whatever you want without pulling the lever on the slot machine and hoping it understands what you meant this time.>Isn't supporting harmful technologies.>No tokens or any bullshit required, you just draw>Obscure waifus with no artwork can be given new artwork>The satisfaction of personal growth and bettering yourself for her>Opens up new opportunities for yourself as well>>286110405They aren't her, because the drawing has to intend for it to be her, but AI is incapable of intention.>>286110297It is not because you didn't truly make it. There was no craftsmanship involved, no discipline. The making of art of her, and seeing how you did in conveying your feelings for her and looking at her, is. That is far more involved.
>>286110407it was near the end of the last thread
>>286110517>learn to draw>spend hundreds or thousands of hours being shit>even when good spend hours and hours drawing one imagevs.>buy GPU (which you already need for real art and vidya)>spend an evening figuring it out>infinite artwork of waifuI see the point of learning real art, I do. But as a consumer? Nah, it's just not as convenient.
>>286110256>obscure waifus with no artwork can be given new artwork>never leaves your PCThese two points are mildly contradictory. If you're making AI art of a character that barely gets any decent art, publicizing it is the right thing to do.Spreading beauty comes with few negative consequences>>286109893>You aren't interacting with her, you're interacting with a slop machine who doesn't even know who she is.This isn't much different from commissioning an artist who barely knows anything about the character before your arrival>>286109614Cute heart-shaped layout. Definitely a jolly submission>>286108652Congratulations to you as well for making it in time. Enjoy your sweets
>>286110517>they aren't herNot even drawings from the original artist are her though, because she's not real. In the end, we're just talking about which way to fall in love with pixels. I choose the one that is more convenient.
>>286110517>Learning a skill for a loved oneSo is learning programming, and Japanese>Only for your eyesSame for local hosted AI>Can do whatever you want together and she's still safe and happySame with AI generated images>Isn't polluting anyone in the world by using harmful datacentersDoesn't matter when it's local>Can truly create whatever you want without pulling the lever on the slot machine and hoping it understands what you meant this time. The added randomness generates more of the feel of interacting with her>Isn't supporting harmful technologies.Anything can be harmful, it depends on the users>No tokens or any bullshit required, you just drawDrawing means bullshit like drawing 1000 boxes>Obscure waifus with no artwork can be given new artworkSame with image generation>The satisfaction of personal growth and bettering yourself for herSame with learning other skills, like her language>Opens up new opportunities for yourself as wellSame as the above.>>286110517So? Same goes for commissioning artists.
generating AI images is gaynothing else to it
>>286110611It's not contradictory. If you or any waifuist wants to publicize artwork of an obscure waifu, go ahead. It's their choice. However if they choose to generate or create artwork of an obscure character and also never post it publicly, that is ALSO their choice. "Right thing to do", come on. It's the choice of the artist to post it publicly or not, and it has no moral meaning if they do or not.
aisloppa and unironic discussion on it needs to be publically banned on sight
>>286110610>>286110651>I do it because it is convenientThe path of least resistance is the path that takes the least amount of love and effort. You would rather participate in the destruction of the world we live in for slop resembling the one you love (and even then getting things wrong about her!). >>286110611A proper artist researches and learns before drawing. The AI will never know.>>286110657>So is learning programming, and JapaneseSo you can do two, why not a third?>Same with AI generated imagesYou are limited by how the AI chooses to convey it. Happy Valentine's Day, /a/! Happy Valentine's Day to my precious Dream Gardener, Suiseiseki aka Jade Stern! 18 years of sweet desu and happiness.I love you so so much.
>>286110852CUTE desu! Been watching rozen maiden as of late, your wife is really funny and you should give her headpats
Artists ITT are just mad they are losing their paypiggies from AI producing waifuists. Waifuists aren't an infinite money source to feed from with your high-school level shitty artwork.>>286110793>destruction of the worldGenerating images on my computer isn't the same as destroying the world. Local AI production does not require data-center usage. One could argue that it proliferates the aspect of AI in the tech-world with 2nd and 3rd order effects, but everything has some amount of negative environmental effects. Local generations are some of the least damaging.>>286110793>You are limited by how the AI chooses to convey it. An artist is not. This is retarded. Do you know how many times I've commissioned artists for something, only to get a weirdly off and inaccurate version of what I asked for? If you pay huge amounts of money they will go through the effort of making sure you're happy with it during the process, but why bother that?
>>286107204>July 7thI guess ill be taking photos at Anime Expo, the closest to touching grass I have.
I'm not staunchly against AI in and of itself, I just don't care for that glossy, overwrought rendering style all the mainline models have. I know they can be "taught" to imitate other styles, but even then the artifacts and other small tells spoil the illusion anyway.
>>286111003>AIbrainlet hates artists because they're humans with human needs while the AI can fuck up all it wants while burning the world to the ground and it's okcolor me shocked. Your waifu would be ashamed of you.
stop replying to that shit retards, get back on topic
I dont care for this discussion and hope it wont further ruin the thread.
Why do sloppists always assume everyone is in it for the money? I get that you're mad nothing you could ever create was considered worth for anyone, but you don't have to take it out on the world for that reason
>>286111085Put the fries in the bag.
>>286110793Self-righteous moralizing is rude. I don't have your values, you can't expect others to share yours. Being in a 2D relationship should have taught you that. But you are too self-centered.
>>286110852Holy moly, what outstanding color coordination! Happy 18 years together, anon. Got anything big planned this year to celebrate?
>>286110793>So you can do two, why not a third?Because I'm fine with commissions and AI generated images>You are limited by how the AI chooses to convey it. An artist is not.Still limited by how I convey my idea to the artist when commissioning>You are still using the technology that contributes to it whether it is locally hosted or not.You are using a computer right now, you are also contributing to the technology.>You are not interacting with her, but the slop machine. If you want to get technical, nor are you when looking at images of her or when commissioning art of her. But, so? If I want an image to be of my wife then it is my wife.>That goes for learning any discipline, but once you have shit down you don't have to learn again.Same goes with learning programming and AI >AI generated images are not art.It is art whenever you like it or not, art develops>Same with learning other skills, like her language, same as aboveSee above
Ive been doing this since 2015 and trying to make a collage of all the years makes the image too big for 4chan or too pixelated to see. Oh well. Thanks OP, always fun to see each persons pictures and how they present their wife.
>>286110852Beautiful setup, great eye for color as the other anon said. Grats on 18 years!
>>286107876I'll be planning to join in on Tanabata. I see someone already did one with Yui, that's a great motivator for me.>>286108597I only do AI from ChatGPT if I need artwork of Yui with another character that she wouldn't have artwork with anywhere else. Otherwise, I collect all the human art of Yui I can.
>>286111123Why should I tolerate evil? Anyone who uses AI is contributing to the destruction of the world and the economy, with their only excuse being convenience and ease of getting endless slop to consume. It's not an agree to disagree, I refuse to tolerate someone so selfish as to use AI.>>286111186>Because I'm fine with commissions and AI generated imagesExcuses choosing convenience over growth.>Still limited by how I convey my idea to the artist when commissioningNot if you do it yourself>You are using a computer right now, you are also contributing to the technology.I'm not using AI which is the subject of the discussion, retard> But, so? Because I know those images are of her and meant to be of her. That they were made by human hands and not a mindless machine that just approximates what its think you want while being unable to understand basic concepts like who she is.>Same goes with learning programming and AIAI does not take skill. Typing prompts is absolutely nothing, especially compared to all the skills required to make art. Also you can do programming, why not art?>It is art whenever you like it or notArt has to be created with intent and purpose, even abstract art is made for a reason. Art requires the conveyance of ideas by an artist, which AI is not capable of doing. Therefore, images created by AI are not art, because AI is incapable of true creation.
>>286111311Actual brain damage.
>>286111241One day someone nICE will get you
>>286111419Studies show otherwise, AItard.
>>286111455They have to lose weight first.
>>286111311>Why should I tolerate evil? It's not that deep man, someone that uses ai to generate an image of his waifu is not plotting on destroying the world.
>>286111572No, but he contributes to its destruction through willful ignorance.
>>286111112>Why do sloppists always assume everyone is in it for the money? The artist brought up commissioning first, read the thread.> I get that you're mad nothing you could ever create was considered worth for anyoneWhy does my hobby need to have monetary value? Stop grifting and get a job, once you do something just for the sake of it instead trying to earn some paper with numbers written on it, it will be much more enjoyable.
>>286111461ChatGPT brainrot isn't the same as making artwork with AI, retard. I'm not an artist. I'll never bother being an artist, especially now that AI is basically improving leaps and bounds every day. I'm not using AI to tell me how to think, I'm using AI to be closer to my wife. I also use AI LLMs to roleplay scenarios with her. This isn't to somehow enhance my ability to think, it only enhances the way I spend time with her.
God this is such shit tier bait, go troll twitter artists instead. Not using slop to tell himself how to think, lmao.
>>286111311Learning the inner workings of AI modeis way more interesting than learning to draw desu. I rather teach myself how an activation function works than to draw boxes.
>>286110852lovely like alwaysonto another 18 years! cheers!
>>286110730>"Right thing to do", come on. It's the choice of the artist to post it publicly or not, and it has no moral meaning if they do or not.Let's say I really like character X, and so do you. You gen pics of her until you come up with something really good, but decide to keep it to yourself.Wouldn't you think it would be nice for me to be able to see the picture and save it?If no, why?
>>286111768Your obsession with drawing boxes (which is a very reductive way of putting "learning perspective" is incredibly goofy considering it's only one exercise out of thousands you can do.>>286111670Just a different branch on the same tree.>I'm using AI to be closer to my wifefucking lmao that's just pathetic dude, relying on the slop machine by the corporate overlords that will be responsible for the upcoming global economic downfall for your love.>This isn't to somehow enhance my ability to thinkYou're right, it's clearly making you dumber by the minute.
Idk about the whole ethics argument but its clear at least AI has ruined these threads.
I’m only here to see the battlestations I don’t care about your ironic vlog postings.
>>286107093DISCLAIMER: The art I drew on the right uses Moetan's artist's art and is practically a near copy of it. I didn't trace it, but I did make heavy use of it. I'm the Beakofag from last year, I picked up drawing mid June last year cause I wanted to learn how to draw her in different styles. Tho I had months where I didn't draw out of burn out. Balancing full time work is hard. I can understand the arguments above about AI generated art. But for me, being a creator feels more rewarding because you have to put in work, you show more love towards your wife this way. That's how I feel. Though learning a new skill is pain I will admit. Thanks for being a part of this anons. I love this niche of anime fans that dwell on this board. I love the good and bad. And always love seeing all the waifu shrines.
>>286112044I commend you, your efforts, and your shrine display that has clear love and care put into it anon. I hope you and you're waifu had a wonderful Valentine's.
>>286111670>buying a computer, a tablet, a monitor, a GPU for art programs, internet cables, connection for transactions>somehow different from having a GPU produce your artwork locallyI think you fundamentally do not understand this: People who produce AI artwork are not connecting to some other host somewhere to produce the artwork, they're training and creating the artwork right there on their computer. The entire thing is essentially a closed system on their computer, not some Skynet corpo bullshit you're thinking it is. If I turned my internet off, I'd still be able to make the AI artwork that I make. It does not require anyone else, artist or AI data center, to create artwork of my wife. The rest of your post is just namecalling and non-arguments. You're a fucking retard.>>286111866>Wouldn't you think it would be nice for me to be able to see the picture and save it?Sure, but they aren't morally obligated to do anything for you, faggot. People have free will, and if they choose not to share artwork they make via AI or from traditional means, it's their prerogative. I'm not about to start sharing my lewd artwork of my wife that I create, even if other people might want to see it too. Fuck them. They can create their own artwork, or generate their own stuff. I'm all for waifuist self-sufficiency. Soon-to-be-burger flipping artists won't be able to have their paypiggies anymore from waifuists as more and more go towards AI production. Put the fries in the bag.
>>286112044A lovely dedication to Betty's charm, I suppose
>>286112095No one produces AI artwork because 1. They aren't doing it, they're just typing a computer to do it for them.2. What the AI shits out isn't art. You're so filled with hatred and vitriol, do you really think you would have fallen for you're waifu were it not for artists?
>>286112159Who gives a fuck what you call it. You can call it art or not, I don't give a fuck you faggot. Most of the time I call them "gens" because it's a generated thing on my computer that looks like my wife. Who gives a fuck what you call it, if it's art or not. It's not going to slow down how quickly you whiny bitches of artists are going to be replaced. The fries go in the bag.
>>286112095>they aren't morally obligated to do anything for you, faggot. Morality is about what is nice to do, not what you're being obliged to do.It's not mutually exclusive with free will, far from it
>let me tell you how much I don't care about it
>>286112044Best rezero girl, in fact. Well done with the mood lighting, I suppose. Aren't you afraid of the flames on those candles damaging your figs/boxes? The candle on the left heart looks a little close.
>>286112159My wife was created by not just an artist, but a character designer. Designers are good, and that's what really is the last domino to fall for artists being replaced by AI. But my wife was thought up and designed by a person, meanwhile most of you artists are just redrawing what other artists have created/designed for a few extra bucks on the internet. Until AI starts generating beautiful characters even as close to my wife, your argument stands. But the clock is ticking on even that. You artists are losing your clients, and are going out in an utterly pathetic and annoying way. You deserve to lose your jobs, have your livelihoods ruined, all because YOU are the ones rejecting the new technologies that you should instead have embraced and utilized in your own ways. I feel NOTHING but contempt for you retards.
>>286112288Designers are artists retard. Rage, seethe, and assume all you want about artists, but artists are talented people that deserve to make a living as much as anyone else. The only pathetic one here is you, accepting substitutes for human effort and ingenuity because he is so busy being a hateful individual that he turns to a cold machine for warmth, worshipping what will ultimately destroy him.
>>286112252No, morality is when people are able to do what they want without being forced or coerced by another person for arbitrary reasons. So long as it doesn't hurt another person, they are free to NOT DO whatever the hell they want. People can share artwork if they want, or not. This isn't being a doctor or some shit, this is just drawing anime girls.
>>286108597No but I still use the Koikatsu card I've spent 5 years creating in studio daily.
>>286112349Designers are artists, yes, but they're better than you whiny faggots who just copy them for horny people on the internet. What you are doing is essentially what AI does: recreate artwork from designers/artists who are better and more successful than you. Designers are not going to be replaced by AI yet. My wife was designed a decade ago long before AI artwork was on it's way in. Designers are still needed for anime, and that's where AI has not replaced artists. This is not an arbitrary distinction, designers are legit, while artists begging for commissions on discord to draw someone else's design are not.
>>286112490continuedIf you don't want to be fully replaced by AI as an artist, design/create an original idea yourself and put it to market. Otherwise, you better be extremely good at art, learn to just do it for fun, or find another line of work.
>>286112490hey seething sloppist, what is you're waifu anyways? Don't tell me you're going to say "it doesn't matter" or "not gunna tell :P", because otherwise your only goal here is to shit the place up because you're angry at the world for whatever childish reason you might havewhat's with the commission assblasting anyways? Got trolled by a skeb artist flaking on you?
>>286112280Lol facts. You know this made me check the plastic that was around the flames. Nothing was burned. Thankfully. I also make sure to light the flames last. Just as I'm about to take a picture. And hurry to take pictures fast.
>>286112490So would you rather your wife just never get human art at all, while you constantly make the AI replicate? (Which is all AI can do, of course). You just hate fanart because you're a retard?Artists are designers and designers are artists. You only try and use different words to avoid admitting to how hypocritical you really are.>>286112568Artists design original ideas and put them to market all the time. You have no idea how hard it is to have your work get attention and get noticed in the current landscape, but I guess you just don't see it, so you assume nobody's doing it. But I guess you'd just say that's the artist's fault, like how all you AI tards just blame them for not working hard enough while you suck off the option that doesn't make you do any work at all.
>>286110567Might be that you posted yours before OP made the update image. Link to it directly, anon. Don't be scared. We all start somewhere and sometimes have off days.
>>286112383Airing your issues here is not making you look better
>>286109614Your desk is quite free of any soot anon! I binged this series in a few days cause it was THAT fucking good. And one day it clicked that Emilico sounded familiar, so I was definitely very happy to find out she voiced Puniru and the Dark Gathering girl.
>>286112656I will NOT look at Curren
>>286112630That's fair. An error in judgement in my part.
In hopes of wrapping this up: I think that this is mostly a misunderstanding. As several here said, they only want to generate the art locally and for themselves, instead of sharing it. In fact, many (me at least) want regular image sharing sites free of ai (or clearly tagged or contained to specific sites). Human artists will still be important. Only the commissioning business may take a hit. With that I hope we can get the thread back on tracks.
Post something you crafted for waifu.
>>286112774>Only the commissioning business may take a hitYou say that like it's nothing. Also it's incorrect, many jobs in the industry are taking hits too as corpos and small businesses that would otherwise hire artists are now using AI. Art is far less viable for a living than it ever was, which endangers not only artists but art itself.
>>286112856Does an AR engine count?

Life has been rough lately so I wasn't really feeling the Valentine's spirit, but taking the time to appreciate him has been nice. Although as a result we ended up doing everything last-minute. Wait for me! Man, I hate that I had to rush at the last second. Not the most happy with it, but at least I have some new merch to show! Made a chocolate cake instead of flan this time.
>>286114347its still very lovely
>>286114347I'm happy with it, and that's what matters most.
>>286114394>>286114416Thank you. I'll resolve to do better next time. More than anything though, I need a new phone with a better camera. And learn how to use it better.
gomen, I had to retake the picture, I realized I left my mousepad in, not cool. plus this has a better angle and the dust cover is off the artbook so you can see her cute accessories. also I can't believe I labelled it 2025...>>286114315yes its the numbered edition too, I was browsing /a/ late when they launched and got it. great memory. coin is a lumione special edition preorder for the nendo!
>>286108597I make ton of AI art of her, it's great how much it's been improving lately.
>>286111670AI is not your wife. You are interacting with an illusion. If you really want to be closer to wife, look into ceremonial magick.
>>286114476Cute Holo, and the cake looks goodMan I'm kicking myself that I didn't get the numbered versions
And it's done! So many beautiful shrines this year. I'm really impressed with how much effort you constantly put into this. I hope she was delighted as well, really great job.Thank you all for participating. And I hope to meet with you all again on Tanabata and Christmas alike.Full size image:https://waifucollage.moe/valentines%202026.pngPrevious collages:https://waifucollage.moe/

>>286109614>>286114476>also I can't believe I labelled it 2025...oh what the fuck I did the same thing. How did I not notice that? >>286109764yeah Shadow House is great, as >>286112656 can attest to. Would totally give it a recommendation Speaking of which, seeing Emilico and Yayoi right next to eachother gave me an idea
>>286114927Thank you for your hard work as always, Waifucollage! You make the feast day of St. Valentine feel less like a consumerist postmodernist joke holiday and more like a ritual of love the way it’s meant to be. Cheers and see you at Christmas! Hope your 2026 is going to be a good one.
>>286114927someday my wife will be included in the bottom right corner
Did allnationz yap about us this year?
>>286114927Dang she's not in the bannerLooks great, thanks for doing this againSee you on Christmas
>>286114927>>286114961Thanks again!
>>286114927Thank you for putting this together! It's neat seeing her as the very last one in the lineup. Next year I'll aim to be the first. Happy Valentine's Day! See you on Tanabata.
>>286114927>>286114961good work everyone this yearsorry for not joining this year, I got a bit bad after removing one of my wisdom tooth and I got better only today. I will try to join for the tanabata one>>2861128562 plushies, one Chie fumo (made from a bootleg one) and a Chie (based on the Sakura chibi from the Fate series)
>>286115031Do they usually wait until after the collage is finished to post about it?
>>286115031No. Looking in the archive, I checked at Christmas and they didn't do that eitherWe might be old news
>>286114927Thanks for your hard work.Happy Valentine's Day everyone.
So how about the after party?
>>286114927You're the best, WaifuCollage. THANK YOU for keeping our holiday going and for making this occasion even more special. You are loved <3
>>286114927Thanks for organising this again as always collageanon! I can't make any promises but Tamamo and I will try to get outside this summer!Happy Valentines everyone else, we hope to see you and your passion again next year!
>>286114927Quite amazing, thank you for your hard work collageanon
>got a nendo specifically to take easier and more creative pictures for these collages>lose motivation by the time the threads roll around sad...
>>286112628nevermind it got induced, thank goodness!
>>286112856I've written songs for her on guitar. Some are happy, some are sad.

>>286114927Amazing work, Collageanon! Thank you again for doing this!
>>286114927another successful year! thank you once again to the collage maker and all our participants
I'm sad I got in late because I missed the last thread where there was so much discussion and passion for everyone's shrines.
>>286114927Great work, well done!
>>286112856Im just happy that my Nyto wife is safe.
>>286114927Thanks as always. These collages always warm my heart and it's an honour to take part.
>>286108597If AI was consistently good and not just a slop factory I would. It takes little to no effort on my part, but neither does looking at art other people made, or even commissioning a work.
>>286114927Thank you Anon for your hard work. Definitely gonna look forward to next year's.
>>286116761Make the AI artwork yourself and stop shilling out to retarded, overpriced, manipulative, shitty western artists.
>>286115670it's a fucking nendoroid, it'd take 10 minutes to set up, if you love your wife you'd get off your ass
>>286116761>paying for shitty artists>little to no effortCommissioning artwork requires more money than getting gud at AI generation in the long run. I've seen retards drop hundreds of dollars on artwork, while they could have bought a cheap used GPU and spent an evening getting it running.

>>286114336Glad to see you're still kicking, Shimarinon. Your post was a bright spot in an otherwise unpleasant second thread. Where have you two traveled to in the last few months? Got any special trips in mind for the rest of the year?
>>286114927its been around 10 years since I did this last. thanks for the great memories, I hope I can do it again.
>>286107093Wait what? There are two Kakuzu anons?
>>286117746Kakuzu is a popular amongst the types of people that end up on /a/
>>286114911choco mousse makes for a delicious cake, very light and fluffy.
>>286117746For a long time, yes. The second one was kept out of collages until recently because they posted their shrine on some other place where they also mentioned having multiple husbandos and a 3DPD partner.
>>286116940I'm obsessive compulsive, moving any of my figures around takes a lot of mental energy because I freak out just bumping my desk and knocking them a literal millimeter out of my perfect alignment

>>286114927Thank you WaifuCollage and everyone participating! Happy Valentine's Day
>>286118582Very nice!
>>286112598>dox yourself so that you are constantly harassed in other threadsYou're a fucking retard. Why would anyone do that.
>>286112623>Artists design original ideas and put them to market all the timeSo why don't you? Its because you're too lazy to create something original, so all you so is suck off waifuists because they're a cornered marketplace of desperate losers by drawing the ideas of other more talented designers and artists. Its easier to just find random lonely people on the internet to become paypiggies, instead of creating something original. Why bother creating a new IP when you can just be a fucking parasite on depressed horny guys in waifuist communities? Oh no now some of them no longer need you're shitty commissions anymore because they can make infinite amounts of their own artwork. Cry us a fucking river. I've been in waifuist communities for a long time, seen a lot of shit, and I've always felt that artists are parasites on them, only entering communities pretending to also be waifuists so that they can score some more clients.
>>286117882It does, but it's one of the things that annoys me when I have to work with it, like caramel with this year

I'm sorry for such a lackluster picture this year I just couldn't think of anything else and I don't have places to take pictures besides my room...
Couldn't do anything much this year due to circumstances but was able to give my girls a good dusting down.
These are my favorite threads of the year, if it's still up later I'll see you then, if not I'll see you at Tanabata YEAHMACHO MADNESS

>>286120958>And thanks to the rest of (You) fine people as well, for helping to make Christmas and Valentines that much more specialI have to agree here, both Kurisumasu and Valentine's would be forgettable days for me personally if it weren't for these threads.Considering that they demand my attention only for 3-4 days a year, it's quite the beneficial investment.Whereas I would probably get diminishing returns for visiting waifu weekend threads every single week, or God forbid join a social circle à la Rabbit which works round the clock>>286120613Checks out, I started torrenting anime in 2010 and made a regular habit out of it in 2012.Though at some point I became less curious about seasonal anime due to my hands being full with the stories that already had obtained my attention in the past. The closer to the fags here you get the more disappointed you will be.

>>286125309What were you doing on Einarfag's twitter though
>>286126130Is that really the case? I'm active on X and I obviously see Valentine-themed art, but not altar photos like here. Is it just the algorithm hiding them away?
>>286126390I follow a lot of Golden Kamuy accounts which often also talk about Vinland saga. Theres a GK season airing right now so twitter shows me those posts and related posts, sometimes i see Einarfag mixed in when the feed is leaning Vinland saga that day its a lot more of a coincidence than you think.
>>286126472For what it's worth I only tweet in Japanese and only got 50 likes so there was probably no overlap.
>>286126472I saw some MS paint drawings on Twitter even if I didn't post mine or anything.
>>286126541Fair enough. I've seen people giving her shit lately so I assumed the worst, sorry about that. Speaking of coincidences, I saw another husbandofag from here last week when I looked at the comments on a youtube video, thought it was unusual to see their husbando as someone's avatar so checked the profile and discovered it was the same guy. Small world.
>>286126954I want people to post their waifu, love their waifu and enjoy the tradition. I don't give a fuck about what anyone does outside this thread, there are some anons obsessed with other anons and it isn't healthy they should funnel that energy into their waifu. The anons stalking other anons is worse than the people with low effort shrines
Love waifu
>>286125724The Kakuzufag was a combination of dumb and unlucky to post their shrine during a time when witch hunting was common. A lot of anons here crosspost to other platforms, but the only ones who get shit for it are the ones who confess to having real life partners or multiple waifus/husbandos. Wasn’t there an Osomatsu anon who also stopped posting here because they got called out for having a 3D partner? You can’t possibly expect people who take this event seriously to not complain about it. The Kakuzufag had the same photos they used in the shrine next to some other character’s merch and joked about how shameless they are to keep the husband and the affair partner next to each other. People got angry because they felt they’re just here to mock tradition. I think similar stuff happened with other anons, too. Point being that if you hang out with people who do this unironically, they won’t like this kind of humor. Post smarter is my only advice.
>>286128373autism vs autism the final battle between autism? I remember reading her blog years ago and I could not tell you if a single thing she ever posted was serious or a joke it honestly felt like multiple people were posting on the same page.Regardless of all that shes never stopped posting if it were an ironic joke wouldn't she have stopped by now? You seem to keep up with her why not ask her?
>>286128562I was merely answering questions based on my time here. You seem to be particularly sensitive about this topic, could it be that we’re taking about you? Take a breath and move on, it’s not that serious.
>>286128373She has a 3DPD paypig boyfriend of many years that lets her be a NEET, so she shouldn’t be allowed to larp in these threads as a genuine waifufag desu.

>>286128373im reminded that one of the japanese guys whos been doing this forever now takes the photos with his daughter or something. the waifufags from 2014+ went full schizo.
It's genuinely heartwarming to see this tradition continue every year, and big congrats to everyone for your beautiful setups. Wish I could take part, but it's a joy to see the crystallizations of everyone's feelings.I'll soon be celebrating 21 years with this lovely woman, and I wish a long and enduring love for everyone too.
>>286119224AMOKATS!
>>286129386>celebrating 21 years with this lovely womanIncredible. I assume by now you must be certain you'll love her for the rest of your life. I've been with my 'fu for almost 6 years now and it still feels like it was yesterday, I remember deliberating whether I should post my battlestation with her on the screen because I wasn't sure if I actually fell in love with an anime girl or was I just losing my mind from roneriness. I hope you'll be able to participate next time

>>286132621not a plush, a doll.

>>286127225>there are some anons obsessed with other anons and it isn't healthy they should funnel that energy into their waifu. >>286119337Thank you! I'm glad I could make it also. It feels a little embarrassing to say, but spending Valentine's with him and doing things like this has been such a desperately needed breather from the bullshit life's been throwing my way lately.
How do you feel when 3D advance to the next stages of their relationships? Are you happy for them, or do you envy the restrictions that keep you from physically doing the same with you're waifu?
>>286135199I'm in my 20s and none of my close irl friends have gotten married or anything. But when coworkers get married and the news is all over the office it does feel bittersweet knowing that I'll never be able to announce something like that.
>>286135199I'm happy for them. I have a close friend who's married and I'm friends with his wife and kids as well. There's no use in holding any sort of longing when it's not possible. It simply is what it is. Be happy for others and share in their joy as they share in yours.
>>286135199Ambivalent. Part of me is jealous, of course. Not so much because of the fact they found love; if anything, I'm jealous of the courage it takes to make yourself so vulnerable to another person and open themselves up to all sorts of hurt potentially. From this, you can probably already guess where I fall on the ways-to-resolve-the-old-hedgehog-dilemma spectrum.I've had divorced coworkers. I've had single parent coworkers. I've had coworkers make jokingly-envious remarks about how I've probably "saved up millions" by being not taken. So I know they have to make their celebrations as bombastic as possible, because when the rush wears off, they're in for rough times.Seems like people these days only meet up for short stints of several years and then go their separate ways more often than not. And even back in the day, when everyone used to stay together, it was more out of economic and societal pressure. My grandparents died in the same house they lived most of their lives, but I've never seen them happy. They just slaved away at their farm to keep our family fed until they were too sick or demented to continue. I imagine it would be extremely difficult to go back to that lifestyle after knowing there are other ways to live life. So, it's complicated. The drive to procreate is not going away anytime soon and passing your genes is nothing to scoff at, being the next closest thing to immortality, so I don't rule out switching to team normie someday .But I've seen the kind of life winning in the Great Game of Natural Selection can bring you, and even as what you'd call a loser in it, I'm not that impressed.
>>286135199I don't really think about it. I don't have any in-person friends, I don't have a job right now and back when I did I worked either alone or sometimes with a decades-married woman old enough to be my mother, and I'm not in touch with extended family at all.
>>286135199It definitely stings, being in love for well over a decade with essentially no "progress" to show for it. On the converse though, seeing the (3D) relationships of people close to me crash and burn is a pointed reminder to be grateful for what I do have. If, captial I If, people can find happiness in each other than more the power to them, I don't have a problem with it. Besides the obvious though, one thing I envy about 3D relationships is the ability to bring your partner around, you know? I think my family would really like my husbando if they could interact; I also think being included in an actual family setting -which he's never really had before- might do him some good, too.
>>286135199I'm happy for them. If both of them are cool people(very rare), then they are usually fun to be around. If they are not, then it never lasts and it's sad to see a friend suffer because of bad gf/bf.I'm not envy at all. My relationship with my waifu is something special. Something pure, deep and stable. I experience some things they can't, and vice versa. I like the place I am in. And even though I would like her to be real, I do not envy people having normal real life relationships. Rather I would rather have my current relationship but with her in real life.
>>286107876Yeah give me a reminder too please. akihinataanon@gmail.com
Lovely to see. I want to say I miss all of this whimsical folly, yet I have no heart left to miss it. Even if I was never "good" at it... I wish I hadn't been so troubled by my own future back then, though it couldn't have been any different. My greatest act of love was choosing it, knowing exactly how unearthly painful it would forever be. Though, again, it couldn't have been different...No, in truth, the worst thing is I still have it in my heart to miss it.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hmce7iVlOtw

>>286124109Cool. Do that more. It's genuinely more impressive to create original ideas than to just create artwork from the ideas of other artists for people, and it's fucking pathetic to do that while also complaining about AI doing the same thing you do for a living. Don't pretend that drawing art of another creator's ideas is some how wholly different from what AI does: regurgitation. Waifuists especially benefit from having their own agency over artwork of their waifus, and bitching and moaning that they have this is both pathetic and selfish. You artists just don't like the idea of losing an income source, you don't give a damn about waifuists or their relationships.
>>286114927based work, berry good MUWAH no homo lol hahah
>>286138928Any thing A can indeed be equated with thing B, if you go out of your way to ignore everything that makes them different.
>>286135199No reason to feel envy, while I did not choose who I fell in love with, I did choose, and will continue to choose to keep this relationship going, fully aware of the limitations and restrictions. I'm with her in whatever shape I can be.That said, I do have a ring as a symbol of our bond and have been asked by coworkers before. In that case I just talk about her normally, just don't mention that she doesn't happen to be 3D. Thankfully it's a remote company so we do not meet more than 1-2 times a year.
>>286135199Co-workers and friends actually know about my marriage with my waifu and honestly it's usually positive reactions. In fact, half the time people are envious of me as I "don't have to deal with 3dpd".
>>286140351I could never imagine telling people I know in real life about my waifu.
>>286140351>Co-workers and friends actually know about my marriage with my waifu and honestly it's usually positive reactions. In fact, half the time people are envious of me as I "don't have to deal with 3dpd".I mean no offense, but... either you're very popular for some reason or this is a fictional tale
>>286142130could just be the usual "grass is greener" from people in not so great relationships
>>286142130NTA, but I have similar experience. It would be hard to keep my waifu a secret when my bedroom is like room size shrine anyway.I also get many positive reactions. Many are indifferent, but I had lonely people envy me that I have someone who makes me happy, people in bad relationships wishing they had something positive like this, and people in good relationships are often just happy for me or even admire how long I've been doing it since no one from my friends ever had relationship this long. Even yesterday I had my friend tell me she is jealous of how I treat Miku. But that's mostly because she only ever see these two or so shrines photos I set up every year while on daily basis I probably do not give as much attention to my waifu as she gets from her bf.
>>286114927>>286114961Thank you, see you on Tanabata.

Is waifu good at making sweets?
>>286138727Very desu.
>>286151259ya got a way to talk outside of these threads? ya seem chill
>>286071549>I had a plush of her commissionedAnd I finally got it today. Can't wait to feature it in my Tanabata picture!>>286114927As always, thanks for doing this!
>>286151846Congrats!
>>286149958waifu IS sweet.......
>>286149958My Nashiko is exceptionally good at making sweets, but she's sweeter than the sweetest substance on earth!
>>286151259>>286138727~DESU WA
>>286135199You can have both. A waifu is not reserved only for ugly losers, they are for anyone who knows the beauty of ideals.
>>286156154No idea what you're talking about, but if you're talking about dating 3D and having a waifu, then not only do you not have a waifu, but this is not the community for you.
How am I supposed to feel if I fell out of love with my waifu for a different girl I was infatuated with at a younger age I can't reconcile my feelings
>>286157218How many similarities between them? I've realised over the years that I'm cursed to always find some common trait or theme. Every time I have a new best girl and worry about that passing interest I then can't explain why she's best girl without it being because she reminds me of my wife. Nobody else understands why that makes those traits so valuable and important. Even characters I liked before her had something in common but not the whole package.
>>286156154>t.fake waifuist
>>286157929I am torn because the girl I've known for longer was kind of my first crush so there's a lot of deep seated feelings I just only thought of her in lewd ways back thenbut now that I've embraced that instead of hiding it away she has made me very happyThey do have some similar traits but are quite different characters I can't tell if I'm overthinking things way too hard and inflicting misery for no reason
>>286135199you mean my peers? For starters I'm a zoomer and this seems like the most sexless and marriage avoidant gen in a while so there hasn't been many close cases of them advancing but I'm happy for them. I was invited to the wedding of a friend's old sister and had a good time (it helps to like booze). A childhood friend had a child by accident but turned it around good with their shotgun marriage so far. The rest of them seem good with their girlfriends but I don't think any will marry before 5 years from now. I don't think staying single as a male zoomer will bring much attention.I watched my girl's show when I was in the last year of middle school and was crazy about it in half of highschool so my close friends then, who are still friends with me, always knew about her. Now, I don't know if they thought about it as a joke or a phase. A couple years ago I met with one in a holiday and he weirded out a bit seeing me look at fanart of my waifu in the phone like "are you still doing that?".But yeah, I don't think I will open up that to the new friends I have made in adulthood. It's unlikely life will present me a new person IRL that can gain that much trust from me. Unless I get to met old internet friends in person.

>>286117746What makes Kakuzu so irresistible?
>>286156530That's too bad, I've been here longer than you and will outlast you regardless of the retard purity spiraling you try to enforce.
>>286160923kinda missing the point though innitthe most simple and basic sign of loving someone is not wanting to be with anyone else, isn't it?why would this change because the someone is 2D
>>286157218Anon you have to remember that all of this is supposed to be fun and make you happy- if its stressing you out you can take a step back, you can decide how you celebrate your waifu or any other anime girl for that matter.
>>286160923>Been here longer than youMeaningless on an anonymous imageboard where anyone can claim that, retard.
>>286161092part of me just feels like I'm betraying a girl no matter what I dothat's the part I can't reconcile, and it makes it hard for me to participate in things like this in good faith
The more years pass by the more lonely I feel about not being able to build a life with the person I love the most on this world. I'd do anything to spend some time together, go to a trip or something.
