On the subject it really is similar, though I dont think it'll be pulled off as well as in Vrains. With AI the heel turn into a villain came out of nowhere BUT makes sense within the story's context and the emotional plight from the previous season transferred into his own character's inner turmoil beautifully. Now with Navisuke they have 3 routes to take, pure power corruption through the fragments, he feels bad about alicepians exploding because of evil little girls, or he has some hidden backstory that was never revealed. The thing is even with how rushed S4 of Vrains was it was still 17 episodes. While Princession has what? 6 episodes left? Now if you cut out all the duel time from Vrains maybe exposition and plot will have similar runtime but idk. Regardless they really waited until the last moments for this but im still hoping for the best.

You can say a lot of bad things about Waku but the handling of song lyrics is absolutely great. Making something that fits the rhythm, actually rhymes, and works as a coherent text but is also a proper translation of the original takes skill. Song is probably the one aspect where it's preferable to sacrifice some accuracy for the sake of actually making it a song. The best part of the White Queen's defeat is how well Future Never Ends functions as an ideological rebuttal to her philosophy and I don't think it would hit as hard (for a filthy peasant who needs subs like me) if Waku's take on the lyrics didn't flow so well.
