so the girls showed inside the pool with nonhair and cables on the last episode were all Rem right? that was the only unexplainable thing to me about this anime

My canon is that Ran was a fucking entity found inside earth and she was being siphoned until exhaustion by the citizens of the Top World and got her cells imbued in every techno limb leading to collective hallucinations

Boy I watched this one just recently. Did not like it.

Nothing against depressing settings and overall outcome, but I think it cut into too many subjects without diving into anything really. The caharacters were bland and hat no real developement (mayba Ichise, but it felt to random). Only interesting charakter was Yoshi and then he was gone halfway through.

The early 2000 Anime esthetic did not help it for me. The CGI took me out of it and too often anoying filters were overlayed. The way it was presented all screamed pseudo intellectual to me (art deco futurism).

The best part was the music for me. In parts experimental with techno and industrial sounds mixed or just plain background noise with heavy rhythmical breathing.

Now crucify me.
