One must imagine Chtholly happy.

Damn, I picked up a hidden gem nobody wants to talk about again.

>tfw no 2 cour full adaptation ever.
ever since 2016, the anime industry went full faggotry with idolshit & self-insertshit.
>>
>>
>>286167158
I think the anime did good by focusing hard on Chtholly story, but I would love a full 2 cour adaptation. And then the sequel.
>>
>>
>>286167295
yeah because they only adapted vol.1-3, but even cutting some fairy lore which makes chtolly's story even more tragic is dissapointing. but i guess this is better than the 9 final volumes of OT toaru being adapted into 2 cours instead of 3.
>>
>>286167232
They really nailed the music and the atmosphere of the series.
I would love to see this and Grimgar getting another seasons with the same teams that made the original seasons.

What do you mean? I thought Chtholly's arc made it more or less untouched, they even added some fluff here and there. I do miss the arc of Chtholly's brooch, but I guess that's one of the plot hooks for later stuff that didn't make it.

We discussed it plenty back in 2017. The novel is long translated, SukaMoka translation is taking forever. Hard to find enough people willing to discuss it now.
That's why we watch stuff when it's airing.

If I had a time machine, I would probably make a stop in 2017, on my way back from watching Madoka live in 2011, but alas. I even checked desuarchive, but I didn't find a lot beyond the episode discussion threads, which didn't even seem that lively before the finale dropped.

I'm glad I watched it eventually, thanks to a few mentions in the Woto stream this year, even if I probably won't find anyone willing to read the essays I could type about it.

Scarborough Fair is not a song about performing impossible feats for love, it's about two people telling each other "I will never ever go back to you no matter what you do, so don't even try to win me over, baka!" It's two tsunderes in love and it works perfectly for Willem and Chtholly. And I wanna cover that song for next year's stream.

All I want to know is if they got together in the sequel, goddamit.
>>
Never liked her much, and didn't really feel any sadder for her than I felt for all the other girls who share her fate. Nephren winning the daughterbowl made me happy.
>>
>>286175467
Nephren won the good girl award, because she's a dog. I liked how the LN made a point to mention how warm she was every time Willem touched her.
>>
Funny how the story is set up as absolute misery porn with little girls being used as disposable weapons, but in the end it's literally just Chtholly. And Ringo-chan in the sequel. And the unnamed fairies in the finale.

The archives died like twice, probably more, since 2011.
But I can tell you that /a/ was basically going insane from waiting the finale.

Is SukaSuka the last vanilla romance where MC-kun is not a wimpy or evil faggot suffering from estrogen dominance?

I don't think I have it in me to see what becomes of Willem and Nephew if we ever get the other novels animated.

Didn't she reincarnate but lost all of her memories from her previous life? I vaguely remember those spoilers from back when the anime was airing.

There is a scene in the epilogue of the main series set ~10 years later, where Willem comes back to the Warehouse and has a young fairy with cerulean hair fall on his head again, and I assume this gets picked up sometime in SukaMoka, but it hasn't happened yet in the parts that are translated, so spoilers.

This broke my heart. I only wanted my daughter to find happiness.

And she did. She was the happiest girl in the world, after all.

I LOVE IT!
Read all the LN volumes in two days, at which point the translation on Baka-tsuki stopped.
>>
>>
>>286165167
Watched the anime, it broke me. Ended on a cliffhanger with no conclusion and now I'm just mad. No I'm not going to read a shitty light novel, maybe in a hundred years when nips learn proper prose. I would rather just imagine a better ending than it probably got.
>>
>>286196363
I also don't like reading books with so few images, but I made an exception for this and I'm glad I did.
>>
>>286196363
I honestly don't think you're losing out on much
The translated LNs at least are pretty rough on the prose, and the plot itself kind of loses its direction after Chtholly's gone
The anime covers the best parts and improves on them

Thanks, this was actually very interesting. Does the color really change from blue to red based on Chtholly's feelings? I never noticed, I'll add it to the list of reasons to rewatch it.

What's the over-under on the author being a woman, actually? I got that feeling a few times while reading and the bit about how Chtholly feels more like a protagonist and Willem more like a love interest is one of the bigger parts of it. They've really done a great job picking up on it and accentuating it in some of the anime-original scenes, too.

I've had this song stuck in my head all day. The composer really did well creating this simple but original, folky melody that just digs into your ears and refuses to leave.

Yeah it's really soulful

I hated that the author just abandoned this

Is Chtholly a jimiko?
