>>286175043I studied singing for one year..but I am not joining because I still suck at it.
>>286175074That is all the more reason to join it.
>>286175074great, you're perfect, get in there
>>286175787chat is this yuri?
>>286175043can you make the deadline until the end of march ?
>>286179090That depends. If we get a lot of submissions by the actual deadline, there won't be an extension beyond the usual "you can keep submitting until the mix is done". However, if you can't submit in February but you know when you will be able to submit, you can e-mail me about it in advance, I have in some cases waited for people to make it in if it doesn't delay the project too much. Realistically speaking, it's pretty common for these projects to get deadline extensions because everyone procrastinates and there aren't enough submissions by the actual deadline, but I won't announce that in advance because then everyone would procrastinate to the extended deadline instead and that would just delay the whole thing, and also because it is too early to say for sure if we will need an extension. If possible, it's best to submit before the actual deadline, that's the most reliable way to make sure you'll actually make it in.t. mixer

Never sung on one of these before, or ever really. Is is better to try to sing as close to the original as possible or in a more natural pitch. I'm more of a guitarist and bassist but I suck at that too. Im not good at learning songs but maybe doing a little solo or something would be doable?
>>286191818>Is is better to try to sing as close to the original as possible or in a more natural pitchIt's completely fine to sing in a different octave, but preferably don't transpose it into a different key.>maybe doing a little solo or something would be doable?Sure, if you send me a guitar solo, I will probably use it.
>>286193185Hopefully I can make something usable before the deadline
How to sing?
>>286195660Open mouth and make noise
>>286195700I tried and I sound like a retard
>>286195833So you're better than average Anon
>>286195833You're exactly who this project needs then
I'm not good at figuring out keys and chord progression, but going off the vocal sheet, its in e flat major right? Seems to do V and IV in chorus, but im sure there is more to it
>>286180668the problem is that my mic is condenser, which means it will capture every hiss or wind i want to order a new one
>>286195833perfect
>>286198443>>286198826Thanks, I hadn't seen that thread. Got your submission now.>>286198527It is true condenser mics are a bit like that, but they're fine, you don't need to get a new mic just for this project. I actually recorded my own submission with a condenser on purpose because this kind of soft voice thing doesn't reverberate in the room a lot anyway and I wanted to capture those details. But in any case, it's very likely your current mic is better than what the average submission will be recorded with, and even if there's some unnecessary hiss or whatever, I can deal with those kinds of problems in the mix to a pretty decent extent.
>>286198527It will pick up every breath and whisper, which is good for this song, ne~e
>>286175074Welcome aboard, I have studied singing for 2,5 years now. I still suck too.
>>286197859>I'm not good at figuring out keys and chord progression, but going off the vocal sheet, its in e flat major right? Seems to do V and IV in chorus, but im sure there is more to itYeah, it's Eb major. The chords are basically: - (IV, V, iii, vi) x2 in the verse - ii, I/III, iv, V in the prechorus - (IV, V/IV, iii, vi) x2, ii, iv, VIsus4, VI in the chorus - IV, V, vi, V, IV, V, VIsus4, VI in the bridge after 2nd chorus
