Its happening to anime too.However from a practical standpoint it doesn't really matter since I'll be dead before I even get through my backlog of older media. That's not even mentioning the joy I can still get from simply rewatching some of my favorites. So what if modern HBO is trash, if I can occasionally rewatch The Wire or Sopranos, and those shows are as pristine as when I watched them the first time (or even reveal some new angle that I hadn't thought of before, because the writers actually did good work on them). Same goes for anime, and since the pozzification of it is only an emerging trend, there's still actual gems coming out even in this day. Just this season, between Ikoku Nikki, Tojima wants to be Kamen Rider and Hell Mode, I'm eating fucking good. Everything isn't total doom and gloom bros.
