I don't believe they'll do this because the little anime original content they've added for Kamiki makes him look more menacing.The biggest problem with Aqua's death is not how pathetic it was, it's that it was not pathetic enough. It barely comes across as a based retard plan. Everything arches on a complicit victim who stands there letting you monologue before you attack him and evidence that wouldn't be hard for a forensic team to piece together if you didn't have someone on the inside covering for you. What makes it worse is that aka believably portrayed Akane's suicide attempt earlier in the story only to cow out of doing the same thing for the finale. You can emphasize Aqua's growing dark thoughts and concern nothing would work. Show how poor communication and inability to honestly express oneself, preferring to stay cheering on the sidelines, contributes to the problem. That's what happens to Akane. Her plan was nearly flawless. All Aqua had to do was watch Kana's graduation concert while Akane carried everything else for him. The fatal flaw in it was keeping Aqua at a distance when she was the one who could have helped him the most.There's a solid tragic ending to the series that already mostly works if you only pay attention to Akane, but there's ways the anime can improve on it overall.
