Weirdest thing about the western fanbase, is that they tricked themselves into thinking JJK was a "mature" and different battle shonen compared to the kiddie ones like the big three or even contemporary ones like MHA or KnY. It somehow got an underserved reputation for not being afraid to kill off characters(which isn’t always a sign of good writing or high stakes). It’s funny because Nobara coming back was a huge asspull and the only important characters killed were Gojo and Choso

Gu and Cursed Energy aren't 1 for 1 and Fang Yuan isnt a 1 for 1 for Kenjaku but you get the idea, the MC is self serving and not a self insert generic protagonist nor is he turned into generic mush and you don't get that "Boss power level vs Boss power level when they join your party" type of deal from being sent back and being the main character.

The rest is good, but the story puts the pedal to the medal and speedruns nearly all of the Master Rules in the final arc just to rush to the Sun fight. Luck and Death instantly jobbing to Unjustice instead of actually doing something with the titular characters is criminal. Will never understand why all these new gen shonen (MHA, JJK, KNY) always have rushed endgame arcs. People hated filler and "Not overstaying your welcome" is good to practice, but we passed that point a long time ago with the current tradition of break-neck pacing speeds.
