how did this flop spawn the worst over-milked franchise ever?the movie itself isn't BAD per se, i liked it. but it's 45 minutes of a school girl killing monsters, not exactly breaking new ground.somehow this was enough to justify 3 novels, a video game, a shitty reboot anime, and a sequel manga.is this a common thing? will these manga/anime companies really just make a whole franchise out of something that doesn't work?
