What stops him from releasing the next batch immediately? He's got to wait for a slot in Shonen Jump to open up?When is that going to be?
Some think it’ll take Modulo’s spot, but it seems to be ending soon, and there’s been no indication of the next volume releasing, which is generally the precursor to the manga returning. So we just don’t know. Pretty sure we got a new batch very recently
>>286232078>very recently2024...
Hunter x hunter is over lol
>>286231952Literally just Jump at this point. 9 of the chapters for the next batch are completed and the 10th will be done shortly. The batch could have started 4 weeks ago or more and been done on time. It looks like Jump specifically wants it to replace JJK Modulo.
Maybe next year
I remember the last time a chapter was printed and all the HxH fags exclaimed Togashi was back and WSJ is back in the golden age and then he stopped after two chapters
>>286236221Anon....that was 5000 years ago.
Can this back broken diaper pooper at least do 20 chapters before he disappears this time around?
>>286232809A new batch of manga in Jump, not a new HxH batch
>>286232078How many chapters until Modulo and elusive samurai finish? If its 1-3 then this should be the week we get an announcement
>>286234359how long until Modulo is over?
>>286236995Elusive Samurai ended last week and Modulo is about to end in 2-3 chapters (not counting the chapter that comes out tomorrow). But there are also another 2-3 manga that are about to get axed
Are there people who vastly prefer the post anime content to everything else? Why?
The Election into Succession Arc is truly impressive.A dozen intertwined narrative arcs, each with casts of compelling rational characters, all in balance.Complex political strategy, intricate supernatural tactical combat. Its in a league of its own.If he managed to get it animated, I could see it hitting the mainstream as a cult thing.
>>286237953>mainstream as a cult thing We forget because the hiatuses kind of kill engagement but Hunter is absurdly popular. In the west it’s not big 3 level, but it’s probably 1 to 2 tiers below popularity wise. It’s at the top of IMDB and MAL both ratings and members wise.I think the arc will attract a more elitists crowd that doesn’t really watch Shonen, but because those people will have to watch the rest of Hunter to get to the succession war, may end up dropping it kek.
>>286238053>I think the arc will attract a more elitists crowd that doesn’t really watch ShonenThat's why it would thrive.People don't want to feel like they're watching slop anymore.Elitism is good again.
>>286238157The problem is will true Elititst stomach early Hunter, greed island, etc to get to the succession war? Or will this be a case of Dragon ball where a portion of new watchers just watch the newest arc (DBZ/succession war) and then go back to the early arcs (dragon ball, Hunter 2011)
if they were true elitists they would read the manga not watch the anime.
>>286237953It’s incredible. The only thing comparable in anime is LOTGH. If people thought Hunter fans were annoying before, it’s gonna (sadly) be much more annoying if Togashi ever finishes and this gets animated.
>>286237953>The Election into Succession Arc is truly impressive. It's the peak of manga, nothing else even comes close.
>>286238209Yes, its all very good.Togashi is a good writer. It's very clear that he's exploring a number of different narrative genre and approaches through different arcs and they all very interesting satisfying results. The true elitist perspective is that Togashi is uniquely talented.
>>286238209Any actual elitist will enjoy HxH if they make it past the first 2-3 eps honestly. 2011 butchers the kite stuff and makes the hunter exam more cheery than it should be but the hunter exam is still a very well written arc. It has a few pacing problems around trick tower but that's it. Heaven's Arena's flaws are outweighed by how good Nen is, and everything after Heaven's Arena is really well written.
>>286238337Actually the peak starts with the palace invasion and is still ongoing in the succession war. We haven't started descending yet.
I still wonder how ambitious the climax of the current arc will be. Are we shaping for a quick murder spree that ends with Zhang becoming king or something, and then time skipping to new continent?. Or will the “ship sinking”, “Armageddon on the boat” theories happen?
>>286237953Based. It has the potential to be better than the chimera arc. Togashi is a really good writer even if i dont like some of his decisions (fuck nanika)>If he managed to get it animated, I could see it hitting the mainstream as a cult thing. This isnt relevant. What's a mainstream cult show? Breaking Bad? HxH is better than bb. Anime will always be disrespected, and mainstream opinions are pure dogshit
>>286238779>anime will always be disrespected Not necessarily. I remember AOT getting a large non-anime mainstream hype during season 4.
>>286238575Any actual elitist will read the manga instead of watching the shitty anime
>>286238779>This isnt relevant. If HxH exploded in popular relevance, it might put pressure on Togashi to produce more, or even delegate more work to others while he focuses on the writing.
>>286238916I mean, it kind of did before. Togashi finished the entire election arc in one run when the 2011 anime was catching up to him, since he needed a good stopping point. The problem is a new anime won’t start until the succession war is near finished, and the end of the succession war will probably a good stopping point.
>>286238779I used to be a nanika hater and I still dislike parts of her writing but I realised that the healing Gon thing is actually kino in how it mirrors Meruem's character arc. Meruem is healed by Pouf and Youpi's unconditional love and then goes on to become a better person (well he dies after that but he definitely does end up becoming a better person right before death). Nanika has a bunch of conditions for her wishes, but Killua uses love with Nanika being Ai, without conditions by commands to save Gon's life, and shortly after that Gon begins to show regret for his actions and begin to grow, effectively showing Gon being saved by unconditional love and coming full circle from him saving Killua from his family early on and generally being a good person. Its an important conclusion to the CA arc much like the Koala reincarnation monologue.>>286238879I would hope so as well, but you know that tons of retards insist that 2011 is better than the manga because "the manga has bad art" or some other shit. And even /a/ is infested with 99 tards who think their filler actually improves the source material and shill it at all moments (I expect like 5 yous from them just for daring to imply the manga is better). With all that nonsense it is difficult to say everyone will cut through the bullshit and go straight to the source. Also if they're gonna read the manga anyway why aren't they reading it now and waiting for an anime adaptation of succ war in this hypothetical?
>>286238994Will the anime be able to properly adapt the mass amounts of text? People already complain about the narrator in the CA arc
>>286239126It honestly just needs good voice acting + animating some idle movement around the room or flashbacks to what the person monologuing could be thinking imo. Sure plenty of retards will cry about not enough action and too much thinking but they deserve to be filtered anyway and wouldnt be a sign of the adaptation's quality.
I just want to know when silent majority will be solved. It’s kind of depressing a tightly woven closed room murder mystery has taken such a backseat and may ultimately be forgotten in the grand scheme of things. I’ve had so much fun analyzing it and finding out the killer since it was introduced
>>286232809with the lord a year is like a day
>>286236221well not really since the batches are 10 chapters each
>>286239586At Kurapika's next class.
>>286239586We know from the last batch that the assassin wasn't actually in the room at the time. It's probably not Seiko herself, but an assassin working for Seiko.
>>286237724Togashi spent a lot more time on the setup for Black Whale, so we’re more emotionally invested in it.
I used to think Togashi was exaggerating the evilness of the Kakin elite...
>>286241646Well, we don’t know which princes joined in on the rape festivals and actually taped villagers
>>286237724Of course there are going to be people that prefer the new stuff.>They might really like Kurapika>They might like the specific side characters that show back up>They might like the new characters>They might like the huge number of new, unique powers>They might have really been into the Chrollo vs Hisoka fight>This might be the first part of the story they've kept up with as it's come out instead of trying to catch up>They might just like the shitposting
I’m not sure if the current arc will finish any time soon, but I’d be shocked if Togashi ever goes on another 3+ year hiatus . If that ever happens again I’ll assume the series is over with.
>>286242402He's working on chapters in the next batch already. Its clear he wants to finish it, hes just lazy.
>>286242563I don’t even think he’s that lazy. I just think his current work rate is so slow (due to age and health), that even when he’s working every day, he can still barely push out 10 chapters a year.I 100% believe Togashi is currently giving his all. But sadly Togashi’s “all” at this point is 10 chapters here and there
>>286242630>even when he’s working every daynibba think he works everyday
>>286242630Didn’t a new dragon quest just come out? I think it’s a remaster
I want Hisoka to survive through this arc, but I don't think it's realistic. Maybe if he sets up an alliance with Kurapika again.
>>286243691Neon's fortunes are still in effect. He dies among the spiders.
>>286231952Dragon Quest remake came out recently.
Kurapika sucks a fat cock next batch
>>286240549It's very likely not this guy since all of the hunters associated with Pariston have missions for the true DC. I subscribe to the theory the assassin is associated with a lower queen; either Swinko or Seiko.
>>286244382>ballsNOkurapika's a chick
