God she was so hot in seasons 1 and 2. Once she started to take the initiative in season 3 onward, she became way less interesting, and the art style change from mappa didn't help.

I think the arc right after is where it started really falling apart in ways that didn't inspire confidence in the direction it took and it was all rapidly downhill from there. Of course in hindsight, the basement was the beginning of the end, but on first readthrough it wasn't as clear.
