I think people overhate on him. He thinks of a great idea for an arc, he executes that very well, and then just finishes for the sake of finishing (also deliberately ruins it at the end). He's a singular arc focused guy.
>>286253634>and then just finishes for the sake of finishing (also deliberately ruins it at the end)looks like he did that to his career too
I give him credit for being able to extend premises that would barely last enough for a film.
>>286253634Anon, basically you're saying that Aka only creates “Game of Thrones” and yet you wonder why people hate him.
>>286253634he has talentkaguya was funny as hell early onbut he needs to learn where his strengths arecharacter dynamics and comedy.he's not good at telling a serious story or making social criticism. he's way too preachy for that.
>Kaguya of Thrones
>>286253986>Anon, basically you're saying that Aka only creates “Game of Thrones” That's a big compliment no matter what you intended it to be.Sadly we live in the ADHD age where people's impressions are based on the most recent thing. If something ended badly, it's bad. If the most recent episode is good, the show is good. If a team lost their most recent match, they suck and something needs to change.
>>286256474Yeah, a shit ending will often retroactively ruin everything that came before.
>>286253634mengo should've taken over after the incesbait shit
>>286257898unironically it would have been far worse
>>286253634His flaws wouldn't really have turned into major problems if he was less stubborn and managed to realise the endings he originally planned didn't fit any more.He either needs to plan everything from the start, or improvise everything, including the endings (which includes less promises and foreshadowing he can't follow up). He's awful at mixing the two together.
I don't overhate him because I only read Kaguya and learned to steer clear of his other works. I hate him in the right proportion to those shitty few last arcs.
