So I finally finished all 178 episodes (and the first movie) of the original Aikatsu. I talked about the first two seasons before, so I'll be focusing on seasons 3-4 here. The individual episodes definitely felt very consistently solid, not having anything like the very mediocre first half of season 2, but it also felt like there was no real end goal for the story to aim for and that it just kinda ended. The characters in general were also really good, but some of the units they formed definitely lacked in any real focus or screentime. Even more than in seasons 1-2 it felt like they were constantly just aimlessly doing things without any real plans on where they were going. All in all, I really enjoyed it but in the end it didn't really leave much of an emotional impact, unlike the end of season 2 and the first movie which were pretty good in that regard.
