When do you reckon the anime will end assuming 1 season? I would say Where J and Marie switch back their bodies sounds like a good spot but it will be difficult to cram in and I'm not sure if it was even out depending on when production began. Maybe somewhere around Maria's introduction?

Nitta's family in particular being one of the "good" Yakuza who only primarily does sketchy loans and grey businesses and gang wars being reduced to looney tunes shootouts. Meanwhile, JM actually shows straight up that the criminal world is actually well, really fucked up.Which kinda retroactively puts a damper on Nitta's "honorable" morality. I mean sure he explicitly keeps his hand clean of the more fucked up aspects of the job. But JM removes all the pretty sophistry and implicitly spells out that Nitta is more or less complicit and just turns a blind eye to all the more fucked up shit his peers do. The two series being explicitly connected ends up creating that weird retroactive dissonance.

Nitta being HONORABURU YAKUZA is never really much of a focus or even a plot point if we're being real, it's more that it's funnier to make Nitta a manager + handler of a bunch of young tards which isn't breaking believability or presenting some crazy sanitized morality.
