It's out of my comfort zone as I'm not really a fan of about stories. The story was cute but I feel like if I enjoyed this type of story more I would have liked it rather than leaving with a 'yeah it's nothing special' feeling. It just reads like straight story rather than bl/about specific story. It didn't do anything unique

So far, I enjoy it. The art when the guys are posing is also very nice. The character archetypes aren't my favourite (especially the douchey clingy top) but it's not an immediate turn off. Plus, there's character development and he starts to mellow out (pun intended).

Something called The Moon Painting Alchemist (it barely counts as alchemy, the story itself says everything he does is sorcery but with circles). The translation on this one is horrendous - someone dripped sticks in a whole - and in one scene the artists forgot the CG horses so the carriage was driving itself. It has nipples in its areolae though, abs that aren't made of rock, and the ""cold stoic"" top has a boyish glee in his expressions that is rather cute. Hoping the MC being a social punching bag has payoff involving big money and everyone seeing how much dick he gets. He exists for a noble to spoil him rotten against his will.

I'm going through the lalah EP scripts again and I'm wondering why the deleted a lot of char's internal thoughts like worry about the prototype not working well or affirming to lalah he feels a bit scared.Like they got rid of amuro going 'hes not here, maybe inside the colony" to jumping right to a cut of shar asking lalah what she's sensing or char over explaining to sayla.I'm so grateful they made this book and left all of that in. A lot of the deleted lines gives more depth to his thought process

I would kill for the original non finalizes script of CCA or all of the zeta episodes. i have the mass market one but it only contains the final product and not the cut lines. When lalah says he's senstive in cca it feels like it comes from nowhere but a lot of char's cut lines depending on the framing would give the impression of being so as well as small tidbits into his thought process around newtypes. I think it's a fun framing to go back to these lines and think about what it means for the series not created. There's so many cut lines for amuro it's hard to pick some examples. the first episode alone has so many cut and rewritten lines which is completely different to the pilot script of 0079 i have.If i put my fudan glasses on it just reaffirms to me a lot of how much he cares for kamille in zeta and how much he care for new types in general (including amuro). Regardless of what people think about the ending of unicorn and it not being tomino i think there's worth to be had in the discussion of what awakened new types mean for the universe and whether you think the ending of cca allows char and amuro to obtain that (and lalah) considering how all three are conjoined and just how empty frontal's thoughts are

n3 is still better than most people on this site even. the intermediate side is where it gets painful because you know enough to know you knowo nothing. Troopers has been confirmed to have two cours worth of eps, which makes their speedrunning everything even more baffling (I don't agree with the theories in last ep's thread, though it sure would account for them needing to rush the first run). Meanwhile Stargaze is trying to do pretty much the whole of Trimax in 11 eps, with their new twist take on top of that. Stampede was perhaps too focused on the emotional experience but it did a decent job of that with the episodes it had. Stargaze is trying to keep that up while ramming two seasons worth of plot points together and the emotional beats were jarring from the start for me because of the repurposed story parts. Instead of a slow realisation of what they're aiming for, everyone is getting conked over the head and having to rewatch the earlier eps of the season to reanalyse what they were meant to be getting from events. Leonof and Midvalley were enough to raise suspicions but we didn't have the time to digest and form new expectations before they pulled their biggest stunt - in the same episode we had to cram the Razlo reveal in.It's a mess, and Livio's lacklustre new design has people starting to question even the rendering of the series. It looks bland. There's moments of fantastic animation, but the lighting and composition lacks depth in tons of scenes, and the models look basic as a result. Did they divert resources to Beastars to keep up with Netflix deadlines? Did they originally want three series and were forced to drop their ambitions? It's seriously depressing after the staff had so much passion and affection for the project before this.
