Mostly for the worse, because MGX is basically Discom. with the genders of the protagonists swapped around, and the occult elements dialed back very heavily, and later dropped more or less entirely. This probably would have been fine and just represented a new direction he wanted to take (since the romance elements of Discom. took a backseat to the occult), but MGX is also where his trademark manic, very dense, otaku-occult art style lost alot of detail. Early MGX was really strong (and I feel is still worthy of 'classic' status) but it went downhill and had a shit ending.Incidentally I'm still trying to find the rest of Discom. I've only been able to find up to Chapter 45 on the web, but MAL says there's 76 chapters, so I'm wondering if they haven't been translated or I just haven't been looking hard enough.
