How do we feel about sports anime?
I like em but there sure are a lot of themmy favourite is chihayafuru
they usually start off cool and quickly get really gay and dumb and are only liked by fujos
>>286689908 They’re just battle shounen with a scoreboard instead of HP bars. Same training arc rival monologue flashback powerup “this is the team’s final play!!” cliffhanger loop. That said, when they’re good they’re kino. Ping Pong, Ippo, early Haikyuu had legit hype. The bad ones feel like they’re trying to sell you fujobait or turn soccer into a death game (looking at you Blue Lock), but at least that one commits to the insanity. In short: 70% interchangeable tournament arcs, 30% pure adrenaline. I’ll still watch them anyway.
>>286689908I don't watch it, and neither do I watch sportsball IRL.>>286690138>They’re just battle shounen with a scoreboard instead of HP bars. >>286689908I miss warabis
>>286689908I'm like 30 chapters behind in Bluelock someone spoil me what's been going on.
>>286689908I like sports so I watch them but I really can’t help but notice that the only sport series that get anime now are manga that are popular with fujos.
I've avoided sports anime and manga for years but I've been enjoying Strikeout Pitch, I picked it up because of the cute shota and it did not disappointThe big girls are nice too
Girls Und Panzer is the best sports anime I ever watched
>>286689908Sports manga is better. The action is a lot more fluid when you read the copious amounts of internal narration as opposed to listening to it voice acted
I cant believe no studio made a new anime for slam dunk. They reboot shit like HxH, and not one of the most popular manga of all time
>>286689908Rape boys...
>>286693547There was a movie in 2022.
