I figure that he's supposed to be some kind of subversion of a typical battle shounen mc but the payoff for this subversion never really comes. At the end of the day he's pretty much just a vessel for the story defining OP power and it never really feels like he's more than that. He lacks MC energy and charisma but at least he could get carried by the stuff around him

Everyone else is a normal person with a gimmick while he shows up and solves whatever's happening by shitting infinite ice everywhere while standing completely still. I like his character but nothing feels tense when he's on screen.

Deku is a spoiled little shit stain who doesn't really suffer. Even his bullying would have been avoided if he left the bully alone.
