Volume 15, which was the definitive end of Slayers for 15+ years, had Gourry asking Lina to take him to meet her parents, with Lina suspecting he wanted to ask them for permission to marry her. Keep in mind, Lina's father is indirectly responsible for the two meeting. In Vol. 16, they were, in fact, heading to Lina's hometown, but Vol. 17 had them teleported off of the Continent. In Vol. 17, though, Lina's feelings for Gourry are much stronger and more romantic. I don't think Kanzaka cared enough to have them officially become a couple, though I feel Araizumi is heavily in favor of them getting together considering his Rui Rui Tenyu doujins,
