Anyone else thinks lovey-dovey teenage romance series like these are basically humiliation rituals for the reader/viewer that never got to experience teenage love, which is basically 90% of anime otaku? You can actually feel the smugness oozing from each chapter you read and each episode you watch, mocking you for missing out on such experience.
>>
even the manga covers mock you. just look at them laughing at you
>>
>>286707805
no, because you are not the target audience (women viewers)
your type of romance is in isekai right now
>>
No, you're just a miserable cunt
>>
What is it called when someone thinks everything is a personal attack on them
>>

>>
>>286707805
aren't these made for women? I don't think male otakus are the main audience
>>
>>286708103
lols, the people whining about anime like this are dudes trying to bruteforce themselves into the viewership
>>
>>286708103
the first 2 are clearly for men, the male leads in those are wet blankets so men can self insert better. the last one might be for women, the heroine basically fixes and grooms him to become a better boyfriend which is a female fantasy
>>
Lighten up, man. School is shit for everyone, a not-shit school life is a fantasy for all. It doesn't represent what they had in real life.
>>
>>286708181
School was great for me. I just missed the teenage romance experience
>>
>>286707805
No
>>
>>286708167
i haven't seen the middle but the first is VERY clearly not made for men, and the male love interest is not a self-insert just because he has black hair and glasses
there is way too much female monologuing and insecurity sharing for it to be relatable for men

if you watch these types of romcoms as a male you are either a teenager(which would make sense) or extremely effeminate
>>
>>286708064
Being "froward."
>>
>>286708320
nah. the side relationship with the school bicycle and the brown hair guy who still chooses to be with her despite her hideous disgusting used goods past is for women, but the main couple is made for the moids. I just can't see any girl liking the male lead. the chipper, virgin gyaru going for the stoic, emotionally stunted boy is definitelly not a female fantasy
>>
>>286708320
Oh, it was definitely targeted at men, but she wasn't careful enough and accidentally let her things slip.
>>
>>286708064
a woman
>>
>>286707805
No, not really.
>>
>>286708434
>I just can't see any girl liking the male lead
why not? this stable and sensible type of man balances out the wild manic pixie girl fMC just like, say, noa-senpai
hell, there's even a male lead this season where he's invisible and reduced to the concept of a man while the fMC does her thing
>>
Goslingfags are so obnoxious.
>>
>>286707805
School teen romance played straight is the blandest genre known to man
>>
Yeah, and all the fantasy and mahou series are humiliation rituals for everyone who never got to experience fighting dragons and saving the world
>>
You shouldn't apply japanese romcom logic to real life especially when your dating culture is different. These are fiction. So no matter what type you watch it won't help you get a girlfriend.
>>
>>286708696
I think the difference is that dragons don't exist but teenage romance does
>>
>>286707805
>never got to experience teenage love
Does it count as teenage love if between the two of us only one is of teen age and the other is 30+?
>>
>>286708387
I read these types of romcoms, hasn't been a teenager for for over a decade now, and am a bald muscular manly man
>>
>>286707805
Nope.
Look at tanicuck. He is not interested in his relationship with gyaru. Same shit would be with y'll
>>
>>286707805
no, you are just bitter

stop being jealous of others

I think there's an untapped market in the "MC reconnects with classmates years later and his crush is still cute despite being a hag now" trope. This usually happens during extra chapters of the last volume in school romance series. But it's rarely the premise.

It's funny how the premise started off interesting with them getting hooked at first but then the author began spewing her pathetic worldview one that even normal guys would find skeptical.
>>
>>286707805
Or you could not self-insert, get your shit together and just watch/read the material without trying to project it on yourself?
>>
>>286707996
>no, because you are not the target audience (women viewers)
2 of those are literally shounen manga. One was in Jump+ itself
>>
>>286707805
Not really. I just read it and think it's cute.

Insecurity

Or terminally online depending on context
>>
Interesting picrel choice. It's pretty obvious you're a attention seeking baiting faggot. Might aswell be a tranny.
>>
>>286707805
No.
I don't think you're wrong for being bitter and pissed off, but you're a delusional faggot for thinking it's on purpose.
My dad used to beat the shit out of my when I was a kid, and now I hate him. So, when I see other people with good it makes me envious and bitter. That said, it's not the worlds fault that aspect of my life was shit.
Get over yourself. Not everything revolves around YOU and how YOU feel. It's a choice to dwell on your insecurity and hatred.

The idea that a fictional character having anything you can’t have is a humiliation ritual is one of the most self-centered, conceited, entitled, arrogant, and effeminate things I’ve ever heard. No doubt you gleefully indulge in schadenfreude when the roles are reversed.

You need to have your T level checked. You are probably missing out on a lot in life and need to medicated.
>>
>>286709741
thats a terrible idea. I would never date any girl from high school. if I didn't get to hit prime teen pussy, then you don't get this prime adult dick

Dunno, for me it is the opposite
Some of those shows are genuinely healing my soul
Real life is already full of pretty bad shit, so let me enjoy cute friendship and romance in peace

How old are you OP?
Teen love may not be off the table yet.
>>

anons don't know this, but they can heal their trauma by thinking about the past and considering what you should have done instead

it tricks the brain into thinking you actually did the right thing in the past

I never felt personally attacked by this kind of manga
sure I felt jealously back when I was much younger, but that disappeared once I became a grown-ass man
nowadays I can read this stuff and not only feel fine but also actively root for the happiness of the main couple

All romance is a humiliation ritual. If you're not a loser and you're so inclined you just do that shit irl instead of sitting in the cuck chair living vicariously through fictional characters.
>>
>>286713156
Yeah Polar Opposites feels like it was intentionally made to be cute and endearing but not cause jealousy, just makes me think "good for them"

People here read manga that is actually for women, right? Because stoic but somewhat dorky love interests show up often, as much as wanko types, princely types, and roguish types

Me too

OP is completely right. I also get pissed off at manga with casual sex

the op image has an example of a stoic male character written for men and a stoic male character written for women. polar opposites mc isn't particularly good looking, he barely changes, at most he becomes less embarrased when complimenting or telling the gyaru he loves her. horimiya mc was a diamond in the rough and is genuely good looking (confirmedd by actual characters int he manga) once he starts going out with the girl and taking care of himself. he became more assertive and social. in the final chapters of polar oposites mc keeps his internal struggles to himself until the girl blatantly tells him that she's there to support him, the nurturing girlfriend is something men fantasize about not women. on the othe other hand horimiya gets basically fixed by the female lead, a very common trope women like.
>>
>>286715664
Well that's normal. Casual sex is a sin after all
>>
>>286707805
bruh...it says 'shonen' there. you're supposed to watch it when you're still kinda young enough to have hopes and dreams to develop NOSTALGIA and then at least self-insert/imagine or something.
