Subs but anything I watched in dub originally as a kid will be my preference. But I always hear that bitch Monica Rial and it pisses me off.

I was rewatching Haruhi recently and all the songs in the rock concert were dubbed, they did a pretty good job.

All the best english dubs were from the 2000s when anime was just popular enough that they hired actually good voice actors so that people would take the shows seriously. Then they realised that the western audience has no taste and will watch dubbed no matter what. The last good dub was Phantom Blood for the guy that voiced Speedwagon alone.

All dubs ever made are vastly inferior to the original. Even the ones normally brought up like FMA:B, Black Lagoon, YYH, Cowboy Bebop, Hellsing Ultimate, Baccano, FLCL etc., all are shit. No exceptions. And somehow they’ve gotten worse over the years with shitty fucking localizers and cancerous, untalented VAs that do nothing but cause drama.

It's the reason why people watch foreign films with the subtitles in their original language. By not engaging with the original dub, you're cutting yourself from their culture by depriving yourself of the idiosyncrasies of Japanese culture that will inevitably always get lost through translation.

I remember downloading FMA when I was a clueless newfag and it defaulted to the dub. Ended up dropping the show a few minutes in because it was unbearably bad, and this is apparently some of the best content dubniggers ever experienced. Even watching on mute is probably a better option.
