How important is accuracy to the source material when making an anime?
>>286746622It depends on who you ask. Some people want anime to be as accurate as possible, even if it means the anime is just manga panels with color and sound.
What's the problem here? Is the solution something that can be solved by not being autistic?
>>286747001I was like that when I was young.
>>286747171There is nothing wrong with it. Honestly, it makes more sense than the manga. At least in the anime it makes sense they'd be caught off guard by it, since they weren't close to him at at all. In the manga, while his arms did stretch a bit, they're still close enough that they'd have no reason not to expect an attack like that one at that range.
>hire half the industry to adapt some forgetable arc nobody cares about and produce the best anime episode of winter seasonI kneel
>>286747528>the best anime episode of the winters seasonThat would be Fate/Strange Fake episode 6
>>286746622It depends. Like anything, sometimes if you decide to bring something that wasn't there before, or cut stuff that doesn't work the adaptation might just be straight up better. How many people genuinely actually say the godfather book are better than the movie?
>>286746622the anime's butchering of genau's character is even worse
>>286746622If the manga sucks like Frieren then the answer is not at all.
>>286747587How did they butcher his character? Niggas be saying anything nowadays
>>286747629>he's suddenly dragging himself over to cover stark's body>he's telling methode to heal stark first>his voice actor is quavering in every linenot my genau
>>286746622It works as a panel, but the weapon ranges wouldn't make sense in movement. Stark would be close enough to decapitate him with his axe, and chuuni's wings would be blocking forward.
>>286747528They're not gonna reach Golden City arc this season?
>>286747696Stark fixed him
>>286747979No
>>286746622Made this as a study awhile ago, to see how different the manga is from the anime
>>286748024Alot of the changes are made to fit otherwise vertical manga panels into 4:3 anime frames. Also there is a difference in timing. Some shots are longer in anime because it suits them to be longer whereas they're fine in the manga, so new angles have to be invented.
>>286746622Zero.
>>286746622I didn't read the manga, but I thought it was weird that he could stretch out his arms like that but only as a last ditch effort thing but not comment that doing to took a lot out of himSo, yes, it was silly
>>286747377im still like that
>>286746622Depends on source material, often it sucks, like gits or kurozuka and the director's duty is to make it work
>>286746622It's genuinely impressive how disinterested everything in the manga feels. The only one on bottom who doesn't look like the only thought in his head is "god I hate mondays" is Stark, who looks like he accidentally spilled his cereal a few moments ago and is debating cleaning it up with his sleeve or getting up to get a rag. These are not the expressions of people suffering or delivering mortal wounds and they're all just sort of limply standing around rather than flinging like ragdolls by the force of getting your stomach plug blown out.I don't know what it is about Frieren where it's supposed to be about an autistic elf feeling detached from the rest but instead the whole damn world from writer to artist has autism. At least the anime was made by staff who remember the spark of life.
Pulling a stretch armstrong is better. it reinforces how inhuman demons. They literally never even imagined he could do that. That's how they beat ya. Don't think...IMAGINE!
>>286746622We've been having this conversation a lot this week.>>286748024>>286748045Soul Society... Home...
>>286746622The more seethe it causes between sourcetards, the better an adaptation is
>>286746622did this nigga eat the gomu-gomu fruit?
